The one bad thing about the new store is the car park, very poor layout and tight. I also get the impression that the staff occupy many of the spaces nearest the store?

Normally the case as most are there first thing in the morning. Same of any supermarket without specified staff parking, sadly.

If the management had any respect for customers, they would have the staff park furthest away from the store and free up spaces for customers.

Would agree with BigAl, when I worked for a supermarket we were continually reminded not to park in the spaces nearest the door, but the ones furthest away and if a manager came in early and there were cars parked near the door, employees were asked to move them.
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.

Staff in this store are told to park further away, this is monitored (as much as possible)
