As a Sainsbury's employee, I can confirm that it's definitely the 23rd, and not the 30th.

Sainsburys in Bangor (Co. Down) opens at 9am on Wednesday 23rd November.
According to the Bangor Spectator newspaper the confusion around the opening date came from the fact that a sign had been erected last week outside the new store saying that the new Sainsbury's Irvine store (which is in Scotland) opens on 30th November - this sign has now been removed and replaced by the correct one.

So roll on Wednesday 23rd November - Sainsburys Bangor here we come !

I looked like there was going to be a petrol station in the car park area beside KFC but haven't seen it appear as yet.

the is afaik going to be a petrol startion but when i came to planning , apparently when i came to planning tesco objected, they also objected to sainsburys having an off-licence

thats what i was told buy someone who will be working there, dont know if its been resolved yet

Can't wait for Sainsburys to open, Tesco in Bloomfield is hopeless since the recent revamp, even the staff are frustrated at how much less choice there is, carrying nothing like the range beforehand.
