Does SANTANDER offer to Not post you Paper statements ? Do Santander Bank accounts, or even saving accounts allow you to Not receive paper posted statements?
so they can NOT post you paper statements?
or do they give you the choice to Not to receive them, by telling them at the branch?
(in other words they allow online statements only)

What a convoluted question.
Santander online banking allows you to turn paper statements on (and off) at will. There may be some accounts where this option doesn't exist, but it's the general rule.0 -
The short answer is yes, you can turn off paper statements via online banking.0

I have tried to request paper statements by post from Santander online however there does not seem to be the option. The selection boxes to either tick yes or no to paperless statements is greyed out. Does anyone know why this is? They seem obsessed with paperless but as I don't go online very often I would much rather have them through the post.0

It means that your particular account is online only so does not allow for postal statements.0 -

Erimem. I had a similar problem for quite a while but it was Santander constantly sending me paper statements that I didn't want (they were even sending me statements addressed to "Mrs." when I'm a "Mr."!)
I found and called one of their 0800 numbers a couple of months back and, after the usual security questions, switched these statements off. I'm sure they'll help you out with your problem.

I prefer paperless. Which is how I bank with natwest.
When I first signed up to Santander I was told that by law they have to send you at least one statement a year through the post. Is it me or is that just odd??Save in 2013: #166: 9,122.51/[STRIKE]5,000[/STRIKE] 10,000Interest earned in 2014: £257.61 20/04/140 -

I've always believed that it was to ensure that an account could not be totally forgotten by an account holder and ransacked by the bank at some point in the future "accidentally." A way of keeping the holder in regular contact with it and activity.
?"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

Erimem,
I tried to go back to paper statements and found I couldn't change it online. After 2 secure messages sent to them and replies that didn't solve the problem, such as was my security setting too high and was java enabled, maybe it the browser I was using? (I tried 2 and everything OK), I contacted them by 'phone on 0845 6004388 and spoke to a very helpful man who changed it for me. It still shows as a greyed out button but now under the paper statement one. I asked why I couldn't change it myself and he told me it was a technical problem and to pursue it I would have to answer a lot of questions so didn't bother.
Part of the reason for asking for paper statements is because they have stopped paying interest on my Premier Direct Account, so they can now pay to send a statement out to me and save my printer ink!0 -

Why print them out? They're in PDF format. Just download and save.
You might also want to think about moving to a Current Account that does pay interest, or one which offers a monthly cash incentive.0
