EDF - a different problem

True. But EDF staff PM'g EDF customers who post on here, purely in order to quell any public discussion, is surely abuse of the forum?
And even more so if the staff are denying in previous posts that they work for EDF.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
So I see that EDF are still refusing to appoint a proper company rep on the board and still using moles instead to try and divert the flak.
Agreed. It's beyond pathetic. And should an EDF employee working in that capacity be allowed to pm a member of MSE forums without express permission to do so?0 -
The problem is that the poster in question has never admitted to being an EDF employee. That username rings a bell, but I can't locate the previous posts.
I would urge any posters who receive such unsolicited PM's to name and shame. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Sorry but who are you referring to , hope it's not me? The pm I had sent had the username EDF Energy. If you look in the list of members it appears to be hidden (I couldn't find it). The account was created in Feb 2010. There was an e-mail addy for EDF that I could of used to ask about the problem included in the pm.0 -

No, I'm not suggesting that you are an EDF stooge! But there was a new member a couple of months back making initial posts that were highly complimentary to EDF, and containing info that only fairly high-level staff would have had. When challenged, they denied being an employee.
I cannot recall the username, but 'Tina' rang a bell-hence my post.
Obviously they were not using the name 'EDFEnergy' though!
Perhaps someone with a better memory than me can dig out that thread?
Edit: 'Tina' and 'Kerry' are the EDF staff who run their twitter feed.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks for the responses and also to Tina @ EDF for the pm. It's nice to know that the company you work for does at least look at this forum and has done for some time. Got the letter today telling me I have been migrated to the newer myaccount. As has been said before it would have been normal practice to have been told in advance. I do worry about viewing previous bills online with this interface however , I had to setup one of these up for my elderly parents at the start of the year and no bill info is visible even selecting the 2 year option.
Glad you got it sorted and received a letter. I'm hoping I will get a letter in the next few days with my new log in information as I do use the online account system to keep track of my useage and to check I'm not getting into debit.
If an EDF Rep is reading this thread I would appreciate a PM as I have another matter that I need help on!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

That's the whole point-there is no EDF Company rep on here, because EDF won't appoint one.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
'EDF Energy' is the hidden secret agent and you may be referring to 'Goldensock' as the EDF employee.0
