Update on our situation. Groupon have asked us to supply them with photos of the tree we received which we have sent across. They are going to be sending them on to their management level who deal with the clients. Seems like a bit of a runaround as Bodini seem to be doing the same with KayleighJ.

No-one seems to be taking responsibility, and still no resolve as of yet. Please guys do keep this updated so if anyone has any luck we can all follow the same route.
  • Absolutely no email response from bodini today. Why am I not surprised?! It's just getting me madder and madder!
  • i contacted the national consumer advice (their number is on the trading standards website) who have also been receiving complaints from others about Bodini as they knew all about it and their advice was to write bodini a letter (their address to their parent company is on their terms and conditions page at the top) and have it sent by recorded delivery so that you have proof that you have been in conact with them and if they dont reply within 14 days then to contact consumer advice again as i guess that they will then be investigated or taken to the small claims court perhaps. i was told to use one of the drafts that they have on the directgov site and to be polite in my letter, which was a struggle but i think i managed it. anyway not sure what happens if it doesnt work but hoping that i wont need to find out though i am determined to get my money back

Needless to say i will definately be thinking twice before i get a so called 'bargain' from groupon again as they obviously dont check the companies that they work with.

anyway i will keep you posted as to how i will get on.

I've done the same - will let you know how I get on. I plan to refuse delivery if it turns up. Not sure if thats the best thing to do but it seems the only option.

    Just got this email:

Due to a very high amount of orders from Groupon customers, we have to admit that we are running a bit behind schedule.

This email is to let you know that your order will be dispatched on Monday, 12th of December, and you will receive your personal tracking number when it is on it's way to you.

We apologise for any delay or inconvenience. Should you have any further questions about your order please contact our customer service team on +44 (0)20 7 717 5400.

    All the best,

    Bodini

I have told them many times that I don't want it and sent them a recorded delivery letter yesterday saying so again. Needless to say the number is just going to a full mail box again:mad:
  • Mine came eventually, and looks like a horrible green toilet brush. Worst still dosn't even fit together. I did get through to Bodini customer services who after asking if "I had read the instructions!!!"; how hard can it be ?! said they would send a replacement, that was over a week ago and judging by others comments I won't hold my breath!
  • I'm having the same problem. Groupon are rubbish and Bodini are rubbish. No one wants to help. Anyone hear anything back yet about what we can do?
  • What would happen if we sent the TREE recorded delivery back to their offices? Groupon said to me they would "look into" a refund if I could provide them with a confirmation email from Bodini, but surely a proof of delivery back to their offices is the next best thing?

in bodinis terms and conditions if you send the tree back and they dont feel that it is damaged or faulty etc they will charge you for more postage to send the tree back to you and wont refund you the cost of postage of sending it to them in the first place to check, if that makes any sense. basically it could cost you about £15 more for no reason!

i've just had a reply from Groupon a week after i emailed them wanting all my details etc including my groupon voucher number, so when your emailing them make sure you put that on your email. not holding my breath that anything will happen, but fingers crossed!
  • I have had this email from Bodini today in reply to my pictures of the tree box I received:

Thank you for your email. Firstly please accept our apologies for the delayed response; we have been experiencing a high level of correspondence because of the Groupon offer. Could you please send us in a photo of the actual tree. I will then be able to talk to our manufacturer and our dispatch team. Once this has happened I will confirm in email how we are going to resolve this situation as you may have received a faulty tree.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

I have never made any comment about a 'faulty tree' just that it is the wrong one! I am reluctant to send a pic of the actual tree as they may then refuse to refund me because the box has been opened!
