  • In same boat unfortunately, wish I had some better news to share. To say their customer service is dire is an understatement. I had issues with my order originally and had to copy in every email i could find from their parent company WildMediaLtd before I got any response from them. When I asked if my order was accepted they said yes AND told me it was going out in next dispatch and the courier would be in touch in a few days - that was 3 weeks ago!

The T&Cs are a laugh as well, they dont assume responsibility for anything

Im sick of emailing them now and trying to contact them by phone? Forget it - at one point their website number going to Prudential!!! JOKE :mad::mad:

Now off to Groupon to get my money back and all I really wanted was a nice tree :(

Right that is pretty much what I expected - I was a little concerned to see that there was only one type of tree in their catalogue which doesn't give it a reputation in that department.

Ill be buying a Christmas tree at the weekend as I have no faith in this whatsover.

I'll be warning people off Groupon altogether should it not turn up at all.

I ordered one from a Groupon voucher on 25 October.
I am starting to get worried as I have heard nothing, and status still says 'processing'
Has anyone else got their's yet??

I ordered mine on oct 25th and nothing. I have emailed several times this week....nothing. Tried to calll today and the message says there is no one to take my call and then cuts me off. Terrible customer service and no tree more than 5 weeks later.

Oh dear. You are not going to be happy. Was it the Bodini tree???

Ours arrived this morning. Odd we thought as it arrived in a Tesco box!!! And true to Groupon form, the offer was 'Too Good To Be True'. The tree is an absolutely awful budget tinsel tree, and nothing like was shown on the offer or the Bodini website.

Needless to say we are not happy. But Groupon customer service is shut, and the Bodini number does what you said, cuts you off.

Now looking to see what can be done. Can anyone offer any help on rights etc?

Same here mine just arrived and is a different tree to what was shown, I will be in touch in morning with whoever I need to be and will be getting my money back!!
  • I ordered a Groupon tree from bodini as well-it arrived today and to say it is slightly different to the picture on the Groupon website is a complete understatement! The box is tiny and the picture looks like a cheap plastic tree worth approximately £10.
I'm really disappointed in Groupon and have emailed both bodini and Groupon to complain!
Will update when I hear anything back from either of them!

  • I've just received mine today and to say I'm gutted is an understatement. What an awful, cheap, shoddy tree! How can they get away with such blatant false advertising?! I've emailed them and told them there are others like me out there and they should expect a fair few complaints. I just feel so annoyed and it's so close to Christmas now. I've got an awful feeling we won't get our money back. And reading their T&Cs it says the pics on their website dont necessarily represent the products they are selling! Doesn't give me much hope tbh. And customer services is just as awful as their bloody trees :mad::mad:

Found the exact tree I received on Amazon.....

    Valued at £12.82 new !!!!!!!!

    What a con !
  • Well our tree is clearly stickered up as 'Tree F' from the Tesco range and has a £25 sticker on the front, but to be honest i cant see it being worth £10. It's horrible and has really ruined the thought of our first Christmas in our new house. We now have decorations, lights but a tree which will only be seeing the inside of the box in the garage, out of sight!

I really do hope we are all able to get our money back as this offer was just so unfair. I can't see how people are allowed to get away with this these days. Groupon really ought to have more control over the people they deal with.

Good luck guys and please do keep us posted on how you get on. I will post up any updates we get.
  • well i received my tree after a 5 week wait only to find that one of the feet stands are broken, was gutted and like everyone else tried ringing bodini and just keep getting diverted to a number that is a mailbox then it asks you to leave a message then tells you the mailbox is full and hangs up etc, which i'm sure must be illegal, so i tried ringing groupon up and the first time i was on hold for 30 mins then when i was finally able to speak to someone she said that she was going to try the number and then came back to me saying that she had got through to someone called sarah and that was pretty much the end of the conversation, so i tried bodini another 4 times and still couldnt get anything. so i rang groupon yet again and after another 30 mins of being on hold got through to a different guy who told me to email bodini or ask them for a refund or exchange as they are quite good at responding to emails!!! I tried to argue with him but he was having none of it and told me to call back at the end of the week. this has put me right off using groupon and i sent them a very angry email. didnt realise that others were also having this problem but the guys at groupon obviously were and seem to be doing nothing about it.

the sad thing is though is that if one of the feet of the stand wasnt broken mine would actually be quite a nice tree, not worth the original £79.99 but nice none the less.

guess its back on the phone to groupon tomorrow then. has anyone had any success getting their money back?
