Problems with o2!! As usual....

So I had noticed that my bills seemed a little higher than usual, but thought it would just be because I've moved further from home and I'm using my phone more often....check online when my third bill at this rate comes through and find out that WITHOUT MY PERMISSION they have taken my texts down from unlimited to 500.

I used the online chat feature to talk to a helpful lady who increased my texts to unlimited again with no extra charge to myself, but who also insisted that I had made a phone call back in June in order to reduce the amount of texts on my tariff. I know for a fact that I would never have done this as I am ALWAYS texting to stay in contact and use up to 3000 texts per month most months.

Now as you can imagine, going up to 2500 texts over the ones included in my tariff have resulted in some HEFTY bills, most of them around the £150-£200 mark if not more. What action can I now take - as I know for a fact I did not access my account to change the tariff?

Have you ever called to reduce your tariff/price plan or reduced it online? If so that normally reduces your allowances too.

Stuff like this doesn't just happen randomly so I'd call and politely query what's going on, make them aware you had the conversation on the web chat and ask for any information/notes about the tariff being lowered, they should be able to say who done it and there should be some sort of indication on who requested it, if you honestly had nothing to do with it I'd request the call getting pulled as I'm guessing your tariff is about £15.50 if you're only getting 500 texts.
