I'm not going to waste my energy arguing with them.
If you apply a little logic to the situation youll see theres absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Option 1 - Pay for a reserve price and guarantee your item doesnt sell for less than.
Option 2 - Dont pay the reserve and if the doesnt appear to be going above what you would have otherwise set the reserve at, just get a friend to bid that value.
I personally couldnt care less which sellers choose as it doesnt effect what I choose to bid. I was bidding on a car lately, and at the last minute I got outbid by a zerofeedbacker who had been a member for about 4 years. (same as seller).
Then 2 mins later I got an email saying the topbidder didnt want it but did i?
Obviously the seller wanted more for the item and tried his luck to see if my bid was bigger than it was currently sitting at? Did I care? No. I took the car anyway because as I repeat on these forums, some people are just trying to make a little extra cash to pay their bills and I dont grudge them it.0
