How to put photos on your listing?

I have managed to sell loads of items on Ebay over the years all with photos hosted at photobucket.
It seems now that Ebay have evolved their selling method and you have a choice to use the new listing method.
By using the new method means that you can't link to photos as previously linking to the <a href....etc> Doing so only brings up the html as text. It seems that Ebay want us to use them for the hosting and charge us per photo that they use and we use!
Has anyone found a workable method around this to stop Ebay profitting from what was a relatively easy and free service before?

I'm sure many people still use photobucket/Imageshack. I don't use eBay for picture hosting as at 12p a time it can soon add up.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.0 -
I did a listing with photos hosted by photobucket only a couple of days ago and had no problem - but if I did I would just put the link into html code and upload it that way0

When entering your description, you have to switch from "Standard" to "HTML" by clicking the link at the top of the box (under the word "Description), before entering the code for the picture.
p.s. Can I just add that I loathe the new selling format and still use the old one.0 -

Yes I still use the old selling format and switch to HTML mode to link directly to the photobucket images.
I don't mind the new selling method but it doesnt seem like to allows linking (via html) to external photographs. You can only use Ebay's photo service which is quite costly at 12p each. This is surely outrageous?:: Lee ::0 -
Or use www.auctiva.com you get FREE supersized pictures, FREE templates and FREE schedulingIf I screw my eyes up tight I can just about see where you're coming from0

I use Turbo Lister to include Photobucket-hosted pics in my listings.0

Call me thick (not literally please) but I always thought if you used a photo in ebay listings you was charged for it anyway, regardless what method you use!
Is this something Im missing out on? Free pics?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
first pic is allways free, further pics cost 12p each.
But you can use a image hosting site as allready mentioned and enter the HTML tag for this and get free pics in your listing that way. Also resize pics with HTML codingMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -

Whilst this isn't so bad these days where many people have Broadband, your page will load faster if you resize your image first and then upload it (it will also look better).0 -
I do know that swimmer, i allways size all pics before uploading, was merely saying you could do this.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0
