Item not received

Hi
Just need a bit of advice please
I bought an item on ebay on 29th October, item was marked as dispatched the same day, didnt receive the item so seller offered to send another out on 8th November, but i still have not received anything?
Seller has been quick replying to any messages and has also contacted royal mail and my sorting office. I said a couple of days ago i would like a refund today if still not received, i emailed seller and asked if royal mail have replied, seller says royal mail will respond by friday and that i will be refunded on friday.
Am i right to wait still until friday or should i ask for a refund straight away? I seem to remember a 21 day limit for refunds? but could be completely mistaken!
Quite annoyed this hasnt turned up as cannot find another anywhere!

Have you confirmed your address with the seller?0

You have 45 days of you should need to open a dispute.0

Someone else may know better but I think it's 45 days to open a dispute.
You could always open a dispute now and then close it if the item doesn't arrive and you get your refund. Remember to remain polite through out the process and be fair and reasonable. Also what he or she said ^^It may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type0 -
Well the second time they asked for confirmation of my postcode which is correct, and the address on ebay is correct, not had any other problems?0

As you seem to have good correspondence with your seller I would trust their word for a Friday full refund.
Saturday I would dispute the transaction if nothing fore coming.
Strange both items have failed to turn up. Was it a cheap item?0 -
As freddy says....plus in the meantime, if it's too big for your letterbox then check the DO too.0

Ok well think ill wait until friday to see if get the refund, put my mind at rest more i know its 45 days. The item was about £12.50 in total, not too sure if it would fit through the letterbox or not0

1. Wait the full 14 days (10 working days) as is default for first class post (I assume it was first class??) I know you want the item but these rules are there for a reason.
2. check with the local post office as things dont just dissappear, they are either stolen or most likely simply delayed in the sorting office. The number of customers i have had tell me this and the number of times I have experienced it is astonishing.0 -

What Rules?
OP-the only thing that worries me about this is where your seller says "seller says royal mail will respond by friday and that i will be refunded on friday". That statement rings a few worry bells with me, RM will be doing nothing and i do so hate seller lying to me, it makes me nervous.
However I agree with the other comments, wait until Friday and then if you are not refunded ask again, and if a refund is still not forthcoming open a claim on Saturday. A lot of delivery offices are going through revisions at the moment and I know many parcels are getting delayed(not enough staff). If I were you I would go to my local delivery office and ask.0
