    Hi

I can't believe it, I actually won £50 in March 2007! and I have had £200 invested for nearly 10 years! It made my day, was going through the bills, just to open the envelope to find a cheque for £50.

I will keep holding on to mine, though, next goal to win another £50 in the next five years! I try not to expect to much, cause than I am not disappointed! :)

We've had £9.00 worth given as a wedding present in 1967....No Wins though:(
  • I was very fortunate to receive a legacy of £20K about 8 years ago and invested it all in Premium Bonds (to add to the £2 I'd had invested for me by my parents in 1968 and which has never won anything!). With this £20002 I won £100 on each of the first 4 consecutive eligible months and thought I was on to a nice little earner. Then nothing at all for over 2 years. In desperation I cashed them all in but then was told by several friends and family members that they'd been winning small amounts quite regularly:rolleyes:

So I re-invested the lot in 'new' bonds and bizarrely I started winning again from about 3 months later:confused: . I now hold £25002's worth and have been winning between £50-£200 in prizes each month for the past 5 years or so. Have just banked this month's £100.

I could make better use of this money by paying off my debts but as the original stake was a totally unexpected legacy I didn't want to 'use' it up and am quite enjoying the challenge  of clearing my debts by all sorts of novel means thanks to all the brilliant posters on these boards:T. Any wins I have go straight towards paying off my credit card debts. Also, being an optimist (misguided though that might be) I live in hope that I'll win a biggie one day soon and all my troubles will be over:rotfl:. I don't waste money on the Lottery or scratchcards so I count it as totally safe gambling!

I dont hold any now but a couple of years ago I bought a £500 one on the last day of the month - I was really busy at work moving an office so didn't notice I'd rec'd it. The first month it was eligible for the draw I won £500 with it but when I first opened it I presumed it was the bond I had bought so spent 30 mins moaning to my hubby about NI taking my money and not issuing the bond until the following month therefore taking my interest, on and on I went till I'd wound myself up so much I was writing a letter so I took the bond out of the envelope then noticed it said prize !!

So very pleased with that and I begged forgiveness for ever doubting them

  • We have £3k between us, most of these only held in the last two yeaars.

    We won between Oct 2006 - January 2007, 3 x £50 and 1 X £100.

We have also won about £200 before this.

So I suppose not too bad for a relatively small stake.
