Drawing up an agreement for ex to pay me back

  • I would go for a monthly payment plan, say the last day of every month, or first, depending when he gets paid.
I would like to say you'll get all your money back, but if you feel the need to be drawing up agreements you must think theres a chance he wont pay you back. Also never let him know you dont need the money. As far as he knows youre desperate for that money!
    1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
    10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
    50p: Christmas presents £3.50
    £2: holidays £2.00

Where do you get this from? I know of a many threads on forums where ex friends have successfully sued for money owed - have they all been lying?

Knowing of threads and knowing in real life can be different, an ex 'lent' me some money so we could go on holiday (I was buying a new car at the time so was not sure if there were any hidden amounts I had not accounted for) after returning, we had a fall out, I know for sure I did not have to give her the money back, for the small amount the OP is talking, it may not be cost effective, but that is not to say her ex will not repay her anyway.

So you don't need the money but are gleefully plotting how you'd spend more than you get back to "scare" him, even though he has faithfully paid you back so far and you know he's struggling financially?

Hope you get your money back, but blimey, he's well shot of you, isn't he?

Never mind the fruitless asking for regular payment.

Get him to transfer a certain amount from his bank to yours with a reference ie £700loan.

There you have your proof of owing, the first payment confirms that he acknowledges the loan.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Not really, the principle is that he owes money. Granted I should have got him to sign an agreement at the beginning, my bad.

Ultimately I may well just walk away from it, but I won't give up that easily in terms of recovering what I am owed. Call it point scoring if you want, but I wouldn't be that benevolent any of my friends so why would I be benevolent to him?

SO back to original question pleae. Thanks for helpful answers so far.
