Indeed, As i will. And the pension is a God send really. Its not great as pensions go as its only based on 22 years (well 24 for me) not 37. Realistically you need to either find a job with another pension or pay into a second yourself in post army life BUT the fact you get monthly payments from the day you leave is the bonus.
Doesnt answer whether Im a bear or a bull though0 -

Thought we'd already decided that you were a bell?
Seriously though, no one knows exactly what house prices are going to do in the short or even medium term, but long term you cannot really go wrong. This is why people buy, and it's looks like you are subscribing to this theory.
I don't think you need to think houses are going to scream upwards in price to be a housing bull. Just recognise that you are better off buying than renting.
Therefore I say you are a long term housing bull.0 -

Funnily enough, that's exactly the road we're on....
The percentage of property in owner occupation is falling and will continue to fall as there is now no chance the UK can build the quantity of houses it needs to prevent the next boom.
Probably not the outcome the bears had in mind when they wished for a crash, but "law of unintended consequences" and all that.;)
I cant see 90% of property being owned by 10% of the population ever happening again.
Wont ever happen because the population of this country will have revolted before that percentage is reached.0 -
