- I just phoned Orange this evening to see about adding some extra minutes to my contract and the lovely Customer Service lady offered me 100 free minutes per month until the end of my contract!

- So I am paying £30, and getting 300 minutes, 1000 texts and a great service from Orange, brill!

I just thought I would recommend anybody ringing up and asking about extra minutes on your talkplans, as I didn't even need to ask for any free minutes, I simply asked about a Magic Number plan, which she said I wasn't eligable for, but then she said "Ok just give me a minute..", then came back and said I can have 100 minutes at no charge and no catch at all!

Oh I forgot to mention that it's on a 12 month contract, so none of that being dragged in for 18 months and not being allowed to upgrade your phone rubbish

My contract = 12 month student contract. So I get a 3 free phones every 3 years, as opposed to 2 every 3 years with the 18 month deals. So, about £1,000 worth of free phone, as opposed to about £630 worth of phone

so you think if I call they will give me an extra 100 mins on my 12 month contract for £25 a month getting 620 x-mins and 1000 text?

the only thing your 100 extra mins shows is that you were done in the first instance!

-oh, and the offered free broadband as I used to be an orange broadband customer and they wanted me to reconnect.

How long have you been a Orange Customer? What month are u in your contract? I guess they did it for you as a loyal customer. I doubt they'll do that for a a customer who's joined them recently! I'll still give it a try!

It's just my second year.

As clever clogs in post 2 stated, you'll get a better deal if you decide to upgrade to an 18 month contract, but, as I shall not be in England come September (which incidently is when my contract expires), I was very pleased with getting 100 free minutes every month
