02 insurance experience

After listening to Martin last week regarding mobile phone insurance, I had to inform others about my experience. I left my iphone on the roof of my car, easily done, I work from home with lots of distractions (kids, dog and cats, etc...). Anyway the iphone is now somewhere between Northampton and Lutterworth on the M1. I've never lost a phone - never after twenty years of using them, but I was insured with 02, phoned to make a claim; after a week still no phone, called again and was told by their insurance team I wasn't insured because I left my phone on the roof of my car! I was also told if I had left my phone on the passenger seat of a soft top it also wouldn't be insured!! Thank my lucky stars I sold my soft top some years ago. I threatened to leave 02 after the experience and they excepted.
