Great to hear from you and that things are looking good, I too am suffering bouts of anxiety about the future at the moment. Hope all continues on the up and up for you. x
  • Blimey, well done you. What a great achievement in such a short time. Keep it up. Hope you get the new job and it goes well for you. You sound really positive, I reckon next year will be a good one for you.
  • Thank you for your responses i love hearing from other people, I have applied for my brothers job so hopefully i will hear something and definately have something positive to report in the new year but nearly 6 thousand pound extra a year would be a total dream for me a lot i could do with that. Also i have applied for a bank workers post in care which is on a as and when basis whch would be great Today has been a lovely day for me i am on holiday and with strike action taking place i have spent time with my daughter, overall i have spent £20 pound on food and items but generally totally happy in myself and positive looking forward to christmas shopping :/
Hope everyone has had a good day.
    Good night all

  • Please could someone give me a honest answer i have a job interview next week the job itself pays 40p less than what i want but its is a little bit closer to where i live. The reason why i want to leave my current job is that i just dont get on with my work colleagues they !!!!! on they crticise all the time and its a small unit where i work and just find it hard to walk away from things, It has got to the point now where am having time off work because i am unhappy and stressed. Out of work i continue good progress with depression good diet, sleep, exercise, and positivity thats been the key counselling also what i seem to be strugglng with is work.

    Honestly?
Go to to the interview and if you're offered it take it.
Life is too short to be miserable especially at work. Been there, done that and I am SO glad I'm away from it.
Very good luck with it :T and do let us know how you get on :D
  • Thank you i wish i was in a position to talk to my manager but i am worried off what will happen to me by reporting my work colleagues I definately think i will go for the interview i need to make sure i am getting a regular income and stop having time off so a new job sounds the right move i have been in this current job for 11 month and just dont feel like i have settled.

Hope you get the other job - I'm in a job I hate and although I'll probably take a pay cut I'm looking for something else - for the sake of my family and my sanity! I've been signed off in the past with stress related illness thanks to work and a year on things haven't changed so I'm getting out!
No job is worth your health - and certainly not for 40p an hour :) Do a couple extra hours in a place you like - it'll be less stressful in the long run :)

  • I wouldn't feel bad about losing 40p an hour Adrian. It will not even be as much as that anyway if you factor in tax and NI. Your health and well being are far more important! Good luck:)

    Hi Adrian,

I have only just seen this thread, do you have a link to your previous writing?

I am interested because I am struggling with depression and finances it sounds like you have come such a long way.

Keep up the good work :)
