This seems odd, why haven't they been able to give you the rate now? Is the loan with your bank?

Online application, with instant decision by email. They then send out the loan agreement with the t&c's. It's with the Spanish bank...

Going to be really naughty and have a take-away this evening. My housemates dogs have pooped in the kitchen and there is absolutely no way I am clearing up just because she's stopped out since last night. OH has gone down to our friends' house for some "man-time" so I've been in bed watching Vampire Diaries. Have just called up to see what they're up to and my mates missus will be back around 8. Offered to buy the take-away as they just paid over £200 in vet bills and are feeling the pinch, told them to chalk it up as their xmas pressie from us :) oh and I get a yummy take-away yay

Well.... Had my purse stolen in town today, from my handbag that was on my pram whilst I was sitting my baby up grrr, can't trust folk for one second these days. It wasn't so bad, (luckily) only had about £15 in it, and all my cards etc etc. So have cancelled all cards, ordered a new driving licence (£20) and rang police in case it gets handed in.
Bit gutted cos it had a note in written by my great grandad from my 18th bday saying 'you are my sunshine', and he died last year :-(.
Anyway got home all teary and fed up, saw a brown envelope (oh no i thought!!!) tax office!!!! it was a cheque for £356.10 for overpaid tax in 2008 lol!!! Totally out of the blue!!!
    Soooo please #29 £1316/£8276.
    Karma smiles on me :-)

If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been paying your loan and how long is the term..? I only ask as most of the interest is paid at the beginning of the term so if you then get another loan to consolidate then you'll be paying interest again on the same capital? Is there no way to get a credit card for 0% or if not, then speak to your bank and see if they will lower the interest rate for the life of the balance at a low APR or just a few months. I remember someone on this thread has already done this and got <5% interest rate for 6 months. I'm sorry but I just don't trust banks especially that spanish one...

  • Thanks dorsetgirl, I was more upset about the little note inside it, was silly to keep it there anyway but wanted it with me at all times.
And I was upset that someone was so quick to pinch it when I was clearly busy with my baby, bar stewards!!!

I started reading this and was thinking "on no, OMG that's awful" but it's ended really positive so I've decided to give you two hugs, one for your purse being stolen and the other to say well done on your tax rebate!!! xxx
