I just ordered the mug on the supersonic wall for 429 swag bucks, £2 stocking filler seemed like a bargain to me, you can upload any pic you want, normally £9.99
Lol i should work for them with that sales pitch!
£6 in total with tax and delivery, unlikely to get here for Christmas mind! but still cheaper than the uk companies which i find crazy!0 -
I am doing all the competitions and surveys and things, it's just the higher SB are on the things they want you to download which I am NOT doing! :eek:In debt no more!0

Just paid £250 to get my Halifax overdraft back into the black and to cover any charges. I'm going to get close that account once all the charges have been paid. It's too tempting to dip into the £600 overdraft.
So my new figures are:
#152 £275/£12,000
Currently got the locksmith round as our front door wouldn't open this morning! Our house is one bad DIY job after another
He wanted to charge us £85 but I told him we only had £70 on us! £15 saved!0 -
Hello no 149 reporting in (can't find a silly hash tag button on keyboard) can you amend it £12,516.23, yes its gone up due to a problem with Vanquis. Gotta speak to customer service regarding charges on my account! Grumble, oh and just had £80.80 taken on recurring payment from my account so can't even payoff the amount I owe. got a whole £5.00 till Thursday to live on. Fingers crossed! On the plus side got £125.00 coming back and other half should be giving me £230 after Christmas after a small loan we made to a friend. Pants!0

Sorry I've been away, been through a low patch these last couple of days. If I get any worse, you might be subjected to another poem!
I've had a lull in the payments, and to top it all off, I've had a puncture on my car. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it can be repaired, otherwise tyres for the thing are about £80.
Counting down the days to payday, which is now 5 days away!
Oh dear Pedro, we all go through these low patches, I'm sending you hugs. :A I'm sure that once you get to payday you'll start to feel like your old competitive self again. I feel like I'm wishing my life away wanting my paydays to come quicker!!!
Don't worry, once we get to 2012 that you'll be attacking your debt with gusto! I'll just have to try to sprint ahead and maybe get someone to trip you up if you get too far ahead...:rotfl:New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Afternoon everybody!
Just got back from an afternoon tea with my sister - she bought a deal on Groupon months ago so we spent the afternoon up the road at a fancy hotel! Tonight was supposed to be my work's xmas do but I've had a better offer (curling up on the sofa with my OH watching a movie and eating pizza!!). :happyhear:cool:
Money is pretty tight until the end of the month (next Friday!) AND the ebay buyer I was waiting on last week STILL hasn't paid - an extra £60 would have made things soooooo much easier
I managed to work out how much overtime I'd be getting paid for at the end of January after feeling like I haven't left this month and it's looking very promising that I will be able to clear my debts then! I was hoping to be able to anyway, but with this unexpected extra boost I want it gone once and for all! Will you lot still have me if I'm debt-less?! :rotfl:0 -
Hey all, sorry not been chatting much but I've been up to my neck in work trying to get everything done in time to finish until the New Year. Not entirely successful as I'll have to do some over the next few days and then my boss has booked me in for a couple of meetings on Thursday morning even though I was just meant to be popping in for the secret santa present giving plus free buffet!
Today has been ok although my mums card wouldn't work at the supermarket and I had to pay which was £173!!! eek... Got a really good bargain of a bottle of Glennfidich (12yrs) for £20 instead of £32! Just off to take my grandma home then I think I might make the family xmas cards tonight. Will update all your totals when I get back. Some brilliant paying off peeps so a massive well done this close to christmas. I need to check my balances and work out if I can take anything off my debt as I get paid again on Thursday. I'm not entirely sure how I've done against budget for xmas but I think I've done ok. Unfortunately I started this whole MSE late in the year so hadn't got a pot put away for xmas so has all come out of my November pay. I do get the other 3rd of my christmas bonus in Jan so should compensate for it. Oh and my boss is absolutely great and has said that he's going to push for me to have the customer payrise this year instead of our companies. We work on a customer site and they indirectly pay our salaries. Even though I'm a Manager, since I'm not involved in the pay negotiations then he doesn't see why I can't have the customer payrise for us which is about 3.5% as opposed to the 2-2.5% our company is giving. Should give me an extra £65 ish after tax so all good! Might even be able to pay off the debt a month early.
I've been thinking about the expense of christmas and wishing that I'd budgeted throughout the year. We have no children in our family so I'm not keen on buying things during the year for people as I actually like buying the gifts close to christmas and wrapping them then putting them straight under the tree. I am thinking about joining the Tesco saving scheme though as it will pay for my RAC breakdown cover due in November and also you get a bonus for saving a certain amount. I think it will be the best way for me to save for the booze/food orgy of greed that is at xmas. Not that I know what next christmas or even 2012 will bring as my parents look like they are splitting up. My dad has already left once and is behaving like a complete child. After being together for 35 years then it's very sad but I need to know what's going to happen to the house etc and whether we'll need to move and what I'll need to pay etc. Another very good reason though why I need to keep plugging away at this debt so I can be in a position to either buy a house or at least contribute to one that me and my mum will need to move into. Not a happy christmas on the cards this year but they will not spoil it for me. I have plenty of friends and I will go to my room with a box of choccies and watch the Snowman! Wish my sisters were talking to each other too but the three of them are coming down for xmas on different days to avoid each other... Oh well, christmas is about family and that means taking the good with the bad. And there is always booze to get me through it... :rotfl:
Well done to everyone with their debt busting :T and hello to our lovely new team members ! I think if we can pay off £47k in the month leading up to Christmas then January and the rest of 2012 is going to be epic!!! xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

You'd better stick around once you've paid it all off!!! I'm counting on you to keep reminding us all how great it will feel to be debt free during 2012 and maybe you could stay but build up your savings on here instead...? Glad you're part of the team whatever you decide hun xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
