Hello,
I've been inspired by this thread, I'd love to join if it's not too late. We've been chugging along with 7k of debts quite comfortably but with a big push I'm sure we could shift it over 2012. It would be lovely to start 2013 with a savings target. So 7000 for me please, although I don't see any pre-xmas overpayments on the agenda I'll use this time to form a decent plan of action we can stick to. Thanks.0 -
Welcome toomanyshoes
I've just had a massive shock, my phone bill is coming in at £47 worth of calls before the monthly tariff is added as I've gone over by 120 minutes.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Ouch! You need to upgrade your contract! I hope you've been using saynoto0870...
Went for an hour run today, so I've been saving the pounds in more than one way! I've also got a homemade pasta sauce concoction on the go too, which should last me three days and only cost about £3 to make.
Unfortunately, I also spent £80 on a Kindle for my sister, who's moving to South Africa in under a month - it's a goodbye present, and I don't feel bad buying it, but I need to start registering these extravagances in my MSE head... it's not the day to day stuff that's got me in trouble in the past, but the needless big expenses. Fortunately, now I find selling stuff nearly as satisfying as buying stuff!0 -
Hoping I'm not too late to join. Debt started at £14,339.74. Currently at £12,457.00. I would like to challenge myself to get debt clear 6 months earlier than planned.0

Jakes mum can you send me the info too, many thanks.
I have a Kindle and although I have lots of free books on there, I would like to buy some, but if I can 'earn' free vouchers then I will be very happy indeed! x8 years of being on a DMP finished 3/3/140 -
Could I be a pest & get some swagsbucks info?
Anything would be much appreciated

If it wasn't for this thread I doubt most of us would have paid of ANYTHING so you've got to be impressed with every single penny over that in my books!
Have to agree, I don't think I would have made the extra payments I have done if it wasnt for this thread.
Just cannot wait for some DD's to come out as I started my challenge about 2 days after all mine came out!:xmastree:Pay all your debt by Xmas 2012:xmastree:

Congratulations Machine
What a fantastic idea, go you! Hope you manage it - I've managed my first fiver but I think I'm coming to the realisation that time is a bit of an issue for me still I'll plod along and see what happens
You're all doing so well, I haven't had time to log on for a couple of days and I think you've added six pages of posts in that time
I'm afraid I've lost track of the money a bit this week - not gone drastically wrong I don't think but certainly gone slightly over budget so I'll have to see where I can pull that back - shouldn't effect my debt busting although I am in awe at how enthusiastic and committed everyone is....especially a certain two or three people who have decided to a have a competition.....what does the winner get as a prize I wonder? :rotfl:0 -
