Or even if they're a veggie but feed their pets meat.0 -

If you have cats, you HAVE to feed them meat, they are complete carnivores. I think you are pushing the point somewhat there, or are you saying that vegetarians can't keep pets?
I've heard many comments over the years of me being a veggie, but that is a new one on me!0 -
Even if this is a wind up, its just a fact that different cultures place different value on different animals.
To us, cats dogs and rabbits are fluffy loveable pets and family members while cows and pigs and poultry are food.
In other cultures, different animals are domesticated, different ones are eaten. Was it Heston Blumenthal who said recently that it was hypocritical of us to keep pigs the way we do for food as they are intelligent social animals, just like dogs?0 -

I meant having an objection to cats/dogs being used for meat if you're happy for other animals to be used for meat. Whether for yourself or your pet.0 -
It's probably an animal rights/pro veg*an site set up to argue 'why is it OK to eat baby sheep and cows but not puppies or cats?'.
Don't lose sleep over it.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
