Probable Stupid Question - BT Openzone!

I know this is a bit daft, but what exactly is BT openzone?
Have just taken out new sim deal for my daughter, who got a blackberry for her birthday. It comes with 250MB mobile internet and 750MB BT Openzone wifi. What is that and how does she access it?
At home she is logged into our wifi, so thats not an issue. When not at home how do you log into the BT thing rather than using 3g mobile internet, or are they the same thing?

It's certainly wifi, not 3g.
I guess logging in has to be automatic.

Its hotspots - like cafes, bars, ghettos where the hip and hop can show off their twittering skills (cough).
When you are out and about - your search for the wifi signal and if there is a free BT Openzone spot near - it will apear in list and you can connect to it and use the internet for free.0 -
When you connect up to a BTOpenzone for the first time and try and load a web page you'll get a "landing page" which will ask you for a username and password, above this box there's a drop down menu that allows you to select your provider, from that select your network operator then it should take you to another page asking you for your mobile number, once you enter that you'll then be authenticated with all of the BTOpenzone hotspots and wont need to enter anything again unless you change phones.0
