Mobile network transmitter status

The T-Mobile signal has disappeared around the area where my parents live. As far as I remember, there were two local transmitters both of which provided a T-Mobile signal, but when I now check the Ofcom sitefinder, one of these two transmitters is now only used by O2 and when I check the other transmitter on T-Mobile's site, it shows coverage to be "Good" but, I do not think the T-Mobile site, or the Ofcom sitefinder info shows if / when a transmitter is offline for maintenance.
Is there a way of checking which mobile transmitters are offline and when they are due to be put back into service ?
Also, is there a site which shows which network providers have used a transmitter in the past so that I can check why T-Mobile seem to have stopped using one of the two transmitters ?

Best bet would be to try customer services and ask them if there is any technical issues in that area and/or if they are doing the 3G merge in the area where your parents live?
Some masts here where I work went dead for a bit (no 3g whatsoever) and a few days later they suddenly started to work again.0 -
Sorry, I can't answer your question, but I can tell you that since Orange and T-Mobile merged, Everything Everywhere plans to remove transmitters where it considers that there is a duplication of coverage by the two networks. One would hope that they would avoid creating coverage blackspots but they might be putting cost savings ahead of happy customers.0

If it is a cost saving exercise, they chose the wrong transmitter of the two to shutdown. The remaining transmitter covers wide open fields very well and just a few streets with a minority of houses in the area - bad choice, the 2nd transmitter was higher up and covered a couple of local villages (and fewer unpopulated fields
)
I'll try Customer Services.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
TMobile havent submitted any updates to the Sitefinder website for over 3 years which makes it useless for this sort of thing, the only thing you can do is phone and ask them whats going on0
