i haven't tried it but i think it looks rubbish and it needs a medium to high powered computer to run0

Had the RTM version since November via MSDN and certainly wouldn't go back to XP

I actually liked it, it's alot like xp but with a boost, I for one would recommend it, the home edition should be ok so you wouldnt have to up grade really, but go on to MS website and it will tell you which one your computer will be able run, hope this helps, I have an AMD 3000+ 1 GB ram 80GB HD DVD-RW and it worked ok on mine if you sign up to MS technet you get all sorts free in beta form off MS
Pls be nice to all MSer's
There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.

We've got 15 or so vista business edition upgrade licenses in the office at work from the action pack. I dare not touch it - not after my RC experiences. I shall wait until at least SP1.... currently I have a nice stable Enterprise Server 2003 as my desktop for development work.
If vista is ever more stable than server 2003, i shall eat my hat.0 -
I have been running Vista since tuesday, no problems with it.
I was crashing once a day at least with the beta version, this version seems ok.
The media centre add in works very nicely, and it does look that bit nicer. I am not sure if there is any real reason to upgrade yet. (I had just built a new pc and so I thought it was a better purchace than xp).
I really doubt if its very stable yet, but for me its a nice change and easy to use.0 -
I have XP media Centre Edition running and am therefore eligible for the free upgrade to vista, free free, £12 postage for a free CD, I dont think so.0

I have been running Business edition (MSDN) on my laptop for a week now.
It's ok but it crawled on 512mb of ram. Had to spend £90 on an upgrade.
Haven't been using aero because it doesn't like the Intel onboard graphics, although SuSe Linux can produce similar effects no problem.0 -
What exactly are microtat claiming that Vista will do that XP doesn't do?
I've got a free upgrade option with Dell.Happy chappy0 -
I have been running RC2 since its release and love it. Will I notice much difference if I get the RTM version apart from the fact it will work beyond June?
Also if I buy an OEM version will I be able to upgrage RC2 or will it need a clean install?
