Re-using vegetable/sunflower oil

Ok so there are times when you have to change the deep fat fryer
oil and you may get to thinking its a waste to chuck away dirty oil....

Well I put a funnel with a coffee filter in another oil bottle
then poured the oil into that so if gets finely drained/filtered
and I will say the old oil is crystal clear...


I hope you all know what I mean.... :beer:

    I do that too :D

    I was told you shouldn't though because it 'breaks the oil down'. errrrr into what :confused:

    I don't have a chip fryer. I do chips occassionally in a sausepan and I filter the oil each time.

    you break it down then put it in your diesel car its call bio fuel :-) --- very illegal according to HM Customes though.
    If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

    That's what I do Rikki, only I do have a chip pan which I use only occasionly, I use a tea strainer to filter the oil and then I store it in a couple of jars, it gets used for up with frying and roasting. 1a_y_grin.gif
