i cannot ring ring them for free as the 0800 number i have for them ( which they dont tell you about ) cant be called from the line or any other 0800 numbers

Well use another fixed line then. 0800 calls are free from all fixed lines.

If you were disconnected for non-payment, Tesco cannot be said to have failed to fulfill their side of the contract - so moving to Talk Talk (frying pan and fire spring to mind) will make you liable to breach of contract charges.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Why where you cut off ??

Looks like you are going to end up paying Tesco for twelve months contract . Or Tesco may not release the line to Talk talk and or it is a debt that goes on your credit record as well .
