Any rights to money back on reduced items?

Hi, I ordered a table and chairs from Debenhams last week and they arrived yesterday. Have just been on their website and the items have been reduced further in their sale - the total order would now cost £150 less than I paid last week. I wouldn't mind if it were just a few pounds but it's a lot of money. Is this just tough luck for me or is there anything I can do to get the difference refunded? Would be hugely grateful for any tips or advice, thank you.

Did you order online within the last 7 days? Cancel the order under DSR, or threaten to unless the difference is refunded, although return costs may be high. If not done online you have no rights other than goodwill. Phone CS and push for a refund of the difference, they may offer it as a goodwill gesture, there is no automatic right to a refund though, just one of those things.0

Hi Bris, thanks for your reply. Ordered online on 6th Nov, items delivered yesterday and only noticed new sale price today. Return costs £75 so I'd still be £75 better off if I sent everything back and reordered! Is it too late for DSR?0

Is it too late for DSR?
No. Providing that the sale qualifies (not custom made or personalised items) then you have 7 working days beginning the day after delivery to inform the retailer of your wish to cancel under the DSR's.
You must do this is writing (either a letter or e-mail).0 -
Phone up and aks for the difference. If they refuse or cannot do such an offer then you will have to go through the hassle of returning and re-ordering.0

Thanks Shaun and Mo.
Mo, I'd be more than happy to return and re-order to get £150 back! Although it would be a lot easier if they give in and just refund the difference...

You might be able to return to a store and save yourself the costsOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
Bear in mind if a sale item it could be end-of-line. If you return it you cannot be 100% certain you will be able to order it again.0

Halibut, thanks for the tip. My car is small, unfortunately, and I don't think the table would fit but if it would save on return costs then I'm sure I could find a way (maybe a friend with a bigger car!)

Dave - thanks for the tip/warning! It's still in stock so will get on the case asap
Thanks to everyone.0 -
