3 year old washer dryer pouring with smoke...

  • Apparently the smoke was from clothes caught between the drum and the door seal. (so not trapped by poor loading, just a freak occurance)

But while he was here he said there was play in the drum (new bearings needed), so he will come back and replace those and put a new heating element in at the same time, for a £93 call out charge.

    So at least it's fixable!

  • All fixed, new drum, bearings, heating element and 7 other parts (which apparently cost £327) and its working fine again.

£93 labour charge, parts free (5 yr warranty on parts)

Not fab paying a big bill when it's only 3yrs 2 months old, but better than the cost of a new one!
