making cheaper calls from my mobile

hellow there
I was wondering how I can make cheaper call from my 02 pay as you go mobile
it is costing me a bomb at the moment especilly the 0845 0870 numbers
when i was calling ireland in the past I dialed this number I got off the net followed

by the full number and it cost me someting like 1p/min
is there something simular I can do when calling UK numbers

How does the Intl Call Checker and O2 Intl Favourites help someone on payg call UK Numbers cheaply.

I may have misunderstood the post that was very unintelligible to say it mildly - with all these gaps in the middle of the sentences.

It was for calling from UK to Ireland.

I don't see why it "costs a bomb" to call to UK numbers. In fact it is 7.5p/min. There is no and cannot be any way to call cheaper from O2 PAYG to UK numbers. The only options are:

• switch to Pay Monthly with the same or other provider;
• switch to another provider. The lowest PAYG price I know is 3p/6p for landlines/mobiles with icardmobile.

The link below may help in some circumstances if there is a number to use instead of the more expensive 08xx numbers however these will cover businesses so your mileage may vary.

Set up an account with 18185, this will lower the cost of non-geographical numbers to 3ppm, but you have to add the cost of your call to the 020.. Gateway number.

Could still be a lot cheaper than an 08.. Number called directly.

You have to dial a number first which your service provider (02) will charge you
02 to 02 is the cheapest
if there was an 02 number I could dial..........
