    Hi Kerri

Just managing to catch up properly with everyone's diaries.

Good for you and OH moving in together, You need to do what you feel is right for both of you and don't worry about what others think.:T

I know I have spent most of my life trying to please others and it has only been this year that like you I have decided to do what I want to do and not what everyone thinks I should do.

Well done on the finance side, things seem to be going very well, glad they finally sorted out your expenses .

I had to have a little giggle at ZTD post about step ladders,. We dont have a ladder from our loft and if anything is needed I send OH to get it which means standing on the very top rung of a step ladder and then almost jumping up into the hatch. The scary thing is if he missed the fall is straight down the stairs :eek:

I cant remember how long it is until your craft fair but hope it all goes well, still trying to do the crochet when time allows, so if it doesnt turn out to be too much of a disaster I might post a photo.

Right off to finish my rounds, (keeping up with everyone's diaries is almost like a full time job sometimes :rotfl:)

    Take care

    Hi NRA,

Z made me laugh too, but I was too tired to post last night. I think with my OH, and maybe most men, as us women tend to think more logically we just need to tell them what's best for them and they come round to our way of thinking ;)

Well I did the craft fair today, and I'm a little disappointed. The lady that runs it doesn't advertise it very well and doesn't know how to make a website so noone knew it was there :( During the 7 hours we had about 50 people come by, which is really poor. However, I did sell 2 large shopping tote bags, 1 keyring and a makeup bag for a total of £21. After the £12 for the fair is taken off this leaves me with only the cost of materials :( I did however meet a lady that was also selling, who has invited me to her stitch and b1tch on Thursday so not a complete disaster. I've now gone ahead and made myself a fb page so I can stop spamming my friends with my photos, I'm going to put a link to this on my profile on here so you can go and have a browse if you like :) I also sold one of the hats my Mum made, so I'm pleased I didn't have to tell her nothing sold.

I'm on call now and having to watch the computer screen for a minimum of 9 more hours, it's going to be a looooong night :( Well at least it gives me time to tidy up the pit that my bedroom has fast come to resemble. The only part that was clear was my bed, and even that has now been invaded by sewing paraphernalia. There's also a problem with my sewing machine, the top thread tension won't adjust and it seemed a bit FUBAR :( Glad I've got my housemate industrial machines to play with, or I'd need to buy a new machine eep!

Hmmm... I need a plan of action for this debt I think...not sure why just feel like I do. For the first time in forever I have money at the end of the month and it's making me feel uncomfortable. I have £300+ left on my cc, and £270 in my lloyd account, with another £100 leftover in my hsb a/c and I have another £28 sat in my terramundi pot. Ok so the £270 is offsetting my OD at the moment and that accompanied by the cc aren't real money, not my money. Oh and I need to pay off £100 odd to the cc that I put on whilst I was waiting for expenses hmmm where does that leave me?

    start with 0
    minus dca = -£1400
    minus hsb OD = -£2000
    minus cc = -£2100
    plus terramundi = -£2072
    plus lloy = -£1802
    plus hsb = -£1702

Well that's not actually that bad, and yes I know it differs from my signature but the reason for this is I'm not counting the cc as my own debt as it gets repaid by work and I'm waiting on expenses to come in again :)

So where will I be come payday?
    OUT:
    £360 - annual car insurance
    £90 - dca
    £811 - rent
    £50 - mot
    £180 - dentist
    £40 - veg box
    £18 - mobile
    £29 - vet

    IN:
    £2000 - wages

    IN - OUT = £422

I'm sure I'm missing something, but I really can't think what. I have enough food in the house to get me through yet another month without supermarket shopping. The parents have students so I can't go down to visit them. hmmm...

Hi not been on here for ages! Hope you're well? It's half term so I'm gonna make an effort to get back into this, mainly on account of having lived a little too much and paying off a little to little lol!

    Hiya Kerri,

I'm on a mission to try and catch up on the diaries after been AWOL for a few weeks.

Great news to hear your plans with OH, sounds like things are working out well for you.

What a pain re the craft fair though, it sounded so promising didn't it ?

Glad the money stuff is working out well, we had a little bit of money left for once this month, it was a strange feeling and I worried myself for days thinking I had forgotten to pay someone.:D

Anyway take care, catch up soon x

Hmm I am amazed, I thought I had gone absolutely bonkers with my spending recently, but it turns out it's been within budget phew! Well maybe £100-200 over budget, but I'll just pay off a little less next month, and I have new tyres and an MOT to blame for that.

Anyway, I need to start to save for a deposit on the flat the OH and I are going to be renting together in Cardiff. This is looking likely to be £900 deposit plus £600 rent to start in September. That means I need to have £1500 saved somehow! If I am to cover this using June and July's wages, then I need to save £750 from each wage....hmm is this even possible? I'm not sure that it is although if we choose to move in on the 1st September, then it is plausible as that gives an extra months wages. I'm hoping the OH will find some work when he gets back so he can contribute towards the rent/deposit though as it will be tough on my own. When my deposit from the old place comes back though, I'll be able to clear the remainder of the DCA which will be awesome :D That's about £1200 to come back from there. I fear that debt repayments might have to slow down a little bit between now and September.

I've just paid for my craft table outside the local supermarket, and also for a table at the appalling fair I went to last month. However, I did make £20 so I can't complain, and if I can make another £20 then all is not lost. Besides, if I'm not there to sell my wares then how can I expect to make any money?

I think I will make some more shopping bags, and little bags in general over the next week so I have some variety. Afterall there is no point having 32 different fabrics if I'm not going to make anything with them.

I've reduced my OD by £50 today, I find this a very scary thing to do and I've no idea why. But the debt has to go! If I have any money left at the end of the month I shall do it again. I think I'm finding it most scary because I have this big moving house expense to take care of somehow and I've no idea how I'm going to do it if I'm throwing away money at my OD. However, that OD is not my money, so it needs to go, go, go. Maybe I will reduce it by another £50 tomorrow.

Ooh fathers day card ordered for 60p :) sirloin steaks ordered for £28.80 plus cashback. We're bringing fathers day forwards by a week as I won't be here next weekend.
Oh and I have bought my Dad a vintage Singer sewing machine which doesn't use electricity. Exciting!

Just had a scare though, didn't realise I'd paid my credit card bill this month already and was most confused that £500 was missing oops! It's ok though, I logged onto my bank account and saw that everything was in order, just one less thing to worry about :)
