Hey, just caught up with the diary, I've been mega busy this last week so hadn't had chance before. You're doing really well with the DF journey, well done.
I do feel for you not knowing many people in the city but don't feel you have to put up with those who aren't really acting like friends. You'd be better off in front of the tv. xxEverything is ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end

Ooh you lot do get me thinking you know
I'm considering moving out of the City when my lease is done in December (I know it's a long way away) and moving maybe to nearer the OH. The "friends" I have aren't much of a loss and yes I'm probably better in front of the tv
Plans for the weekend... well... still don't have laptop password as my account is still being activated?!?! So working from home Thursday/Friday, which means snuggles and cuddles whilst watching tvthen going to parents Friday daytime to spend the weekend there. Will probably take my nephew to the beach Friday afternoon as he loves it there and my Mum can practice her photography skills.
DFW things I've done today:
* pointed out to OH that I've stocked up on things he likes so he doesn't have to buy anything
* went to Mr W about 8.30pm and stocked up on 5p rolls for toasting and whacked in the freezer
* used the rest of last nights pasta sauce for dindinsit's 2 weeks until payday though and no idea how I'm going to last on the £30 in my b/a although I have loads of food in the house, so I'm sure it'll all work out somehow?!?! Normally I'd be panicking, but I guess I'll just have to make food instead of buying it, what a novelty

very true HP, must remember that next time I'm parked in front of NCIS wondering if I should get out more... not if it means dealing with the collection of drama queens and lame ducks I left behind in the city.
A lot of my friends are scattered around the country but it's amazing how a half hour phone chat with a proper friend is worth so much more than any amount of face time with people who are a drain rather than a support.

I agree most closest friends are upto 3 hours away.. and id much rather meet up with them, than some of the fakes in my area

I totally agree, i am only where i am because OH is in the army. I grew up in Lincolnshire and all my 'real' friends are there still
but even though we all have families and rarely meet up they are still the people i would go to if in a bit of bother and needing a shoulder to cry on, or some advice! I also have lots of friends over in Kidderminster where i lived for a few years, people down south are hardened in my opinion and they all seem either fake (so they can fit in) rude esp in essex, and superficial! Of course that just may be where I am. But i doubt it, I was in london for 4 years before here and i never fit in there either (even though i was born in london and all my family live there.....just not for me!)
I would rather no friends than ones that are rude, obnoxious, and up themselvesand we are all lovely on here so come talk to us instead
lol
