Shall I sell it on fleabay? hehe. I'm not very good with spreadsheets either, but I'm adapting mine as I go.
Will knock up the stockpile/2nd purse one later, it's made it much easier to understand how the 2nd purse system works :)

  • Well done Kerri, you sound like you have had a very organised few days. Glad you got the Theatre tixs, I had a looka t those, but by the time we had driven into London or got the train it sort of defeated the idea of free Theatre tickets.

I have a spending diary on a App which is great but I am going to run off now to take a look at your new thread ! Go you ! I totally agree with DFW's suggestion re the E- Books. A friend of Mr Pinots sold E Books ( cant remember what the subject was), but I think he done quite well out of it.

    Have a good day.

Only half a tin of beans with 2 toast for lunch today and yet I still feel incredibly uncomfortable eugh! I must have had too much fibre the past few days. Oh well it will stop me being hungry later :) Have transferred the 64p to my savings account and updated my spreadsheet so I don't lose track of things.
I've just re-downloaded an app for tracking my eating, I tend to eat whilst I'm working because I'm bored and I'm finding my trousers are a bit tight round the hips eep. I apparently have 200 calories left for today and I've not counted dinner yet !!!
OH comes to visit tomorrow for the weekend, I need to get him some milk and coffee as he is the only one of us to drink either. I might make him come to get baked beans with me tomorrow on our way home, lidl is right next to the station. Then I can get some cheap milk from there :) and see what coffee they have on offer. Maybe then he'll pay for it as well :D I will get the block of cheese I have in the freezer out tonight and he can have that this weekend. He loves cheese, I'm not so fussed and it was a BOGOF purchase.

I think I've been using too much washing powder. I've got a 10kg bag of ecoleaf powder which should be 130 washes minimum. So I've goggled and found persil will send me a free scoop :)<3 free stuff

Update: I've gone spreadsheet mad, I've made a second purse spreadsheet now and put it for everyone to be able to download, caring, sharing and all that. It shows that I have over £100 in stock judging by current prices.

I have sugar, I have eggs, I have butter, I have flour.... Guess what I'm going to make ;-)

Just bought 3 packs of 4x branston beans in lido for £2.98 I started panicking in e shop as I couldn't find them in their usual place. Was almost tempted to buy some 99p big bottles of lucozade as I always drink it when I'm ill, but will hold off for now.

Haha, I totally got the MSE aspect of it but couldn't for the life of me think why you needed 30, unless you'd already started Christmas shopping:rotfl:

Are the loo rolls still on offer? Wondering whether to go to Lid for a small top-up shop to last til payday, or use the £4 off £40 at Mr S, even tho I'm not sure I want to spend that much. I'm sure there will probably be offers I can keep for next month, swings and roundabouts, I'm thinking:p The voucher will basically remove the delivery fee but it's also about the amount I'd end up spending on fuel to Lid, so the only diff would be having the option to spend less than £40 in Lid and keep within budget this side of payday.....hmm...what to do??

Also are we not supposed to mention brands /companies etc? I notice you change words a lot:p. I've started to purely because it's fun:rotfl:

I try not to mention shop names and make up names for products like "the loo roll with the teddy bear" purely because I don't want to give them free advertising and boost their goggle score :)

The loo roll isn't on offer anymore, but if you're passing stock up on the br@nston beans whilst they're dirt cheap. Check the lido website for their offers and don't forget aldos too, although I can never find anything in there.

This evening was productive, made 12 hummingbird choc cupcakes that taste rather salty and there's now 3 left as the baker just had to eat some to make sure they tasted ok ;) Have also been busy prepping the food for the OHs arrival. I decided if he was going to visit then it would end up in a supermarket shop and I don't want to go near one, other than for his coffee and milk tomorrow. Soooo I've made stuffed cabbage for one slow cooker pot, and vegetable stew for another.

    Stuffed cabbage:
    carrot
    potato
    onion
    random herbs
    cabbage leaves
    tomato

    grate onion, potato, carrot
add random assortment of herbs to mix with 2 egg whites
part boil cabbage leaves and pick out the 3 biggest ones
slice up 3 biggest ones and line slow cooker pot with this
add tomato to the bottom of the slow cooker
scoop 2 tablespoons of mixture into each cabbage leaf and fold into a parcel
chuck any remaining mixture into bottom of slow cooker on top of the tomato
    place cabbage parcels on top
    slow cook for 4-5hrs

no idea if this tastes good or not yet... we'll see

    Vegetable stew:
    broccoli
    carrot
    potato
    onion
    mushroom
    tomato
    leeks
    stock cube

chop up veg and throw into slow cooker pot
    mix around with hands
chuck in some herbs if desired
make up stock and throw on top
    top up with water
    slow cook whilst at work

also haven't eaten yet so no idea how it tastes

Going to set the timer for the stuffed cabbage to come on whilst I'm at work tomorrow. Then I'll set the timer on Saturday so the stew cooks whilst we're busying ourselves. OH thinks it all sounds yummy so that's a good sign :)

No debt busting today, but I am reconsidering whether paying off Wescott earlier is such a good idea. It's going to cost me more in interest and paying such huge payments when I'm about to change jobs isn't the best of ideas as I may well fall short in the middle bit. However, it would be really good to be free from them, so maybe it is the best thing. I'll not have very much debt once that's gone and I am widdling down Freemans quite quickly.

Whoop whoop another person has paid for their fleabay items so that means I am off to the PO this morning to post them :) these ones are off to France. The items I relisted don't seem to have many watchers, so maybe they won't sell. I'm going to list a whole load more when OH goes home on Sunday, will make sure I stay under my limit though. However, someone has mentioned it's another free listing weekend, yet I can't see this showing on fleabays announcements hmmm....

My sister has paid me £51 towards the amount she owes me, plus the £24 she owes me from the weekend. So I've paid OH back the £100 he lent me and paid freemans £2.58 from my hsbc and the remaining £0.48 from vanquis. This leaves me with £40 until Thursday when I get paid. However, I have enough food in the cupboards to last me until then. The weekends food is all ready and waiting in the slow cooker and there will be enough to freeze. I don't need petrol, nor do I need any chocolate. I might take OH down to Mr W later to grab some cheapo bread, oh and I need to get some more of those cheapo beans too.

Also, fleabay people have paid up, so I've transferred another £5.87 to my account from peepal, and after I'd been to the PO another person had paid so that's £17.62 transferred to my peepal. My spreadsheet shows, that if my postage for the last item is correct at £7, I will have made a profit of £73. This will be coming off the amount my sister owes me :)

I might see if the OH can buy his own milk and coffee this evening, I don't drink either and it's a luxury item so he can buy it :p I'll just get cheapo bread. Besides, I did pay for his bus ticket here AND I have put the frozen cheese in the fridge so he can have that if he wants it :) he loves cheese but I almost forgot to get it out oops. I definitely will not tell him it came from the freezer or he might get a bit funny, likewise I won't tell him the butter has been defrosted, or that the dog tried to eat it yesterday when my back was turned. Ok that bit is a bit gross, but it's no different to me licking the spoon then putting it back in the cake mixture! hahahahahaha

I still don't think OH quite understands that even though I say I have £20 to spend, that that's all I need. I told him I have £20 in the bank and he said "well I have some money if you need any". Am I going to have to sit him down and explain my pots to him? I think I'll drive him potty if I do. I still have over £12 left in my purse pot for this week. So that can cover any unexpected drinking over the weekend. I don't need to buy groceries as I have them covered by last weeks veg box and my stockpile. So I might come in under my £60 grocery budget for this month which I set from the 5th January, I'd be really impressed with that considering in December I spent £400 in various supermarkets.

I've now setup a thread for the second purse system. Hoping I'll be able to keep up with updating it, sure I will :) it's nice to see what people are going to spend their 3rd purse money on. I've also setup a post on there to keep track of any offers that crop up such as the beans this week ;)<3 beans.

Lunch today was the remaining half a tin of beans from yesterday, so hoping it might be a NSD although I do want to buy more beans whilst they're cheapo. Need to find a recipe for carrots, broccoli, potatos, onion there must be a slow cooker one out there somewhere...

    update:
It's really playing on my mind that if I pay Wescott as I was before then I'll actually pay less off overall. If I pay the £466.66 to freemans, then I could clear them this month how good would that be, one less interest incurring creditor to pay off. I think I might call Wescott this weekend after OH has gone home and tell them I've got my sums wrong. I've already done this with them once before. It's going to put my amount back up, but on the whole I think it's probably the right thing to do.
