I don't think we've had as long a gap between postings.
Not much to add from me aside from having to have a bit of a stern talking to myself regarding the purse strings. I think it would be easier to knit fog than keep my purse closed these days so August is going to be where I reign it in a bit. I do have the excuse of having a chuchy cute Grandson to spend it on but it's flowing a bit too freely in other areas so back to keeping a tighter grip on it!
I'm feeling a bit out of sorts too, you know when you can't seem to settle and things whirl round your mind, nothing major thankfully, but still it leaves you feeling restless and yet fatigued at the same time?! Does anyone else ever feel like this?
My iron and vit Bs are normal as just had blood results back for them, I've decided to blame it on the weather!
Hope everyone else is okay

Lizzie - I'm feeling the same at the moment, just tired and grumpy all of the time. I honestly think the weather doesn't help!
I have nothing much to report either, just plodding along.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Old Hat really but just had our quote from Axa and I was expecting it to come down this year (we had a claim in 2010) and now that we have a full year no-claims thought it would be cheaper.
Decided to use, moneysupermarket, go-compare etc and ended up saving over £140, renewel quote was for £332 and Co-Op have offered use better cover and for the tidy some of £189.94. So just go's to show that we should all shop around and never renew.....:jNSD 12, SAVING ALL MY CHANGE FOR HOLIDAY SPENDS - SO FAR £23.96:j0 -
Hey everyone :-)
Good luck in the new house natnat.
I've gotten back on track with making our meals, which is making me feel a lot better, after my set bills, food is my biggest expenditure , so any savings I make makes me feel good :-) I have lamb mince defrosting as well as chicken strips, thinking of making spaghetti bolognaise to freeze and some chicken wraps or stir fry for tomorrows dinner.
The boyfriend is now the ex boyfriend. I'm unsure how I feel about it. We hit a rough patch in April n may, then we where getting on great, better than when we first got together... he met up with an old friend recently and i think she, not persuaded but pointed out what he's missing by being in a relationship, so he booked to go to Croatia with her and their friends from Uni, plus a few of her friends..... its more the timing that's really annoyed me.. we have skiing lessons booked for this Thursday, an evening wedding reception on Friday, he booked us a room in a hotel for my friends wedding in August (only booked it a few days before we ended) so I have been left a bit in the lurch, but I'm rather glad he was eventually honest, with himself and with me, as no point being in a relationship you are not happy in... I think it will all probably hit me in a few weeks... but a good thing about it all, is that I am clearing out my room, which has become my dumping room for everything and anything, I sorted sons room a few weeks back, still has lots in it, but that will change once my room has been done and i can move the extra chest of drawers into my room and then it won't look so cluttered.
Tomorrow I'm taking my son out to start getting his school uniform in.... cost is astronomical! Costing £160 not including shirts, trousers, pants, socks vests, shoes or bag! Only one shop here that sells the branded stuff, they don't sell badges to sew on yourself. A tie costs £9! We are meeting up with his dad, as he would like to get something. Next week I'm heading to a different town that apparently does his school uniform at considerably lower price. I am lucky that my cousin has offered to get something, my parents will probably want to get something too, so hopefully I won't be over £100.Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

The weather here is awfulit's so depressing - it doesn't feel like it's summer at all. We've even had the heating on
as it's been so cold in the house, which is bad as we were trying to get our heating bill down, but it's not going to be easy at this rate
Hows everyone else doing? Nothing much to report in the SF household atm...
I was just thinking I'll need to start the Christmas shopping soon, u know, make a list, price shop, pick up the stocking fillers, elf hamper (DVD, colour book, food treat, new jammies, its nothing fancy, just something to occupy us, I put the same in for me too, as my son is very big on all people who are good getting something from Santa, hasn't come from me)
I'm looking at taking my son on holiday, sometime around December (my 30th birthday) or January, I'm thinking of going skiing, so looking at prices n boy, r they high! LolLiving Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

Sorry to hear things haven't worked out Lola. It's sad when a relationshio ends but like you say at least it's better now than to carry on when hearts aren't in it. Hope you're okay.
As for school uniforms. I remember it well. At one time we had five in school at the same time and we insisted on Clarks shoes for them all. What an expensive time. As DD got older thought 'dolly' shoes were all the rave, though they only usually lasted about two months each time! Awww it all seems so long ago now....
I've never fancied skiing Lola though I do like the thought of drinking a hot (soya) chocolate in a chateau with a log fire
I must get back to doing weekly menus too. Definately save money and time when I do that. Take care Lola.
Last day at work tomorrow then off for 6 weeks. I love my job to bits but I really am going to do some serious relaxing and pottering about this Summer.
Hope everyone is well
