I use the wood pellets and usually get them in Tesco - rising, where are you getting the special offer bags? Are you still pleased with it?
Hi Twiglet - yup, still really pleased with it!:D Honestly, the wastage compared to the wood pellets is unbelievable (ie just about nothing!)
The original offer has unfortunately ended - however, there's still a discount off 2 x 30L bags which come in at £27.99.
Quite a lot to fork out initially, however, 60L should (if predictions are correct), last me around 6 months so a lot cheaper in the long run.
You'd get free delivery (orders over £19) and 10% off your first order & 5% cashback through Quidco which helps a bit.

I did try Mr T stuff but it's hugely expensive & I found the price could go up & down over 70p in a week! Mr A stuff is better value, but still worked out quite expensive (prices used in my earlier post). HTHThrifty_Sister wrote: »If anybody has a Home Bargains nearby they do a great wood pellet litter for £5.99 a 30litre (why litter is measured in litres when its obviously not liquid is very strange). They also do a small bag for £2 something for those that don't need to use much but as we go through loads I always get the large bags as its more cost effective.
My nearest HB (60 mile round trip so only go every 3 months or so to do a "household bits" stock up) only has 5L bags @ £1.29.
£5.99 for 30L is really good .....:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Thank you rising and ThriftySister, I'll certainly spend some time researching this before getting the next lot - two unopened bags left, so I have a small breathing space.
Can you flush solids from both the types you're experimenting with, rising? We're on a septic tank, which my neighbour kindly looks after, and I'm never really sure it's ok to flush them, though he hasn't said anything (he did mention when DD went through a phase of flushing face wipes a few years ago!) - sometimes DD bags and bins what her kitties have left in the downstairs tray, which is fine in the outside black bin but I hate it being dropped in the kitchen bin - her partner has been known to bin it, in the kitchen, without even bagging, EEUUUUUGGHHH. Not any more, I hasten to add. I have been known to chuck it into the overgrown wild field in front of the house, where nobody walks except badgers! I put the wet wood-pellet litter into the green compostable bin.0 -
Hi All
well after a frantic few weeks at work I am now off for a whole week LOL
On the budgeting front I am starting to despair of myself
Gone over budget this month again as have got my roof repaired, all the ridge tiles have been took off and re-cemented (or whatever they use to hold them in place) back in and a few broken tiles replaced.
Hopefully this will save me a large repair bill in the future though as when the chap went up to look at the roof, apperently the only things keeping the ridge tiles in place were that they were "well balanced" :rotfl:
Right off to catch up with all I have missed, hope everyone is well and hugs for those that need themMortgage Owed: Sept 14 - £107398.200 -

 EEUUUUUGGGGHHHH:eek:
Yup, the Tigerino is flushable but TBH I've never done this as eeeeuuuuggghhhh - just gives me the heebies I'm afraid!:o Also, I'd be worried about blockages over time
Warning this may be TMI for some
I bag clumps/solids in nappy bags (27p for 300:money:) and collect in a bin bag in a small outside bin (only used for this purpose). The dog's errrrr bags go in there as well and then it's sealed on bin day & put at the top of the wheelie bin.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Ooh have a lovely week off tylersbabe. Fingers crossed for some sunny days for you, but to be honest any time off work is great regardless of weather
Don't despair, you've had the roof done so that won't need doing again and tomorrow is another day. I read this quote recently and thought it was a good one...
There is a reason God put our eyes on the front of our body... It's so we can see where we are going, not where we have been.
Have a lovely evening everyone.

Sorry I've been aol, my tab wasn't loading web pages, but would load apps... grrr.... then I went away for the weekend to Newcastle for a hen weekend.. was great fun, Newcastle drink prices was an eye opener, as was what people do in public when drunk, up here, we would get thrown out and then most likely lifted by the police, down there the club security didn't even batt an eyelid!
Whilst down there, I also became an Auntie, my sister had a beautiful bonny boy, named him Rio.Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb
