  • Had a money saving meal last night, got half a duck with pancakes etc in m and s for £3 and had it with noodles from cupboard which I had for free and used a sachet of sturdy sauce which I had for free. Not bad for a nice meal for two! Been doing well this month with stocking up on good offers an using vouchers in conjunction with them etc, so hopefully I'll see the benefit in my bills next month!

The other option is to manually overtype the 'budget to date' figure on these lines so that it shows the full budget as being available from the month it's paid, but that will mean the 'budget to date' total won't be ??/12ths of your annual budget (where ?? is the number of months the annual budget has been in place)

Thanks Cheryl ... think I'll leave it as it is and *cope* with the overspends.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of all my major bills fall within the first 1/2 of the year so I'll be looking pretty overspent by then!
The Cravendale milk coupons, and the fact I've swopped my Mr S litre packs for 2 litre Cravendale ones (and then I decant into a half litre container, as and when I need it), means I've cut my milk bill by half! :j

Just for the sheer thrill of it, I calculated that I'm saving nearly £200 a year on milk!! :T:T Oh joy!

    xx

    Wow Sandra, that's fantastic!:D

Wish I could come up with a "milk solution" - it accounts for around £350 (20%) of my annual grocery bill:(

Pretty down today (not really like me) - didn't sleep a wink so [STRIKE]probably[/STRIKE] hopefully just overtired.

Going to be a long 2 days until the weekend as if I'm tired today, it'll be worse tomorrow (always find the day after the worst) but I'll get there.

I was originally going to type "gosh", but realised that I was spending more than that. All I can suggest is what I did, that's if you're not doing that already. Or buy a cow!:)

i don't think spending alot on milk is a bad thing because it's soo good for you, better to spend it on milk than on coke and crisps after all :) we use lots of milk but i've noticed we've been using alot less lately so i've put a big push on it because growning boys need calcium :) hubby said he wasn't drinking it because he didn't wanna drink all the milk, err thats what it's for lol
