Hi grizzly look here http://www.broadbandadvice.org.uk/Website/Special%20Articles/TT_DLM.htmgrizzly1911 wrote: »What is DLM? What difference would turning it off make?
I am with TT down 6.02 up.86 with speedtest just now. I have had speeds of double that registered??? Generally happy with that.
I have noticed periods of slower response over the last couple of months not sure if this is TT throttling capacity to encourage me to upgrade my package:(

I am using my laptop whilst touring the USA and I find the pages load lke lightning compared with my TalkTalk broadband back in the UK which on a speed test measures 7.4 down and .48 up. It takes so long to load some pages in the UK I have a chess game running to pass the time.
I have changed routers and double checked all the settings but it never performs anywhere near as well as MacDonalds free wifi or any other free wifi over here in the US.
You're with Talktalk. For the rest of us, we get decent service.0 -
Many sites host in the US - moving little lumps of data takes a small but finite time, so US-hosted sites load faster than when they have to cross 3000-6000 miles.0

DCM, I take it you are using either:-
1. router compatible with DMT tool,
2. a netgear with DGTeam fw, or
3. a router fully compatible with full Routerstats
so once DLM is turned off, you can tweak your snrm 'till you're heart's content ???

Hi All,
If any customers of talktalk are experiecing issues with their service were more than happy to provide full support via the Members Forum.
In terms of speed issues there can be a multitude of variables which affect this. as such we would need to look into this in more detail to advise further on an individual basis.
Regards
Mark
