Hi everyone , oh im so sorry that i havent updated in so long. The house has been upside down.. all the ceilings got ripped out downstairs and we move out shortly for the electrics. Ive still managed to hold onto the savings but havent made any progress on it as such. Cost us so much money to be without a kitchen for 2 weeks , we had to live on eat out meals.
We are now planning our wedding :)) for 2013.. :-) so i will really need to start saving lots now. Will also need to find hints and tips for saving on things. I wonder if there is a link on this website for that...hmmm

Hope everyone is well and be back soon :)

Ooh wedding, congratulations :D Have you considered making place settings, invitations, favours yourself? Also, bridesmaids dresses etc can be bought on fleabay and if they're not right, just flog them on there again :)

How long until the house is finished? Bet you cannot wait!

Thank you lovely :-) we are very excited :).. i cant believe the prices these days tho.. the church are wanting £1000.00 OMG and the registry office is £125.00 approx but only fits 35 people.. :S Ive looked into local hotels and they charge almost £500 for the hire of the room and then you have to pay another £300 or so for the registrar to come out. Madness, no wonder no one gets married these days. We are planning it for 2014 because we have no help from our parents and also want a nice honeymoon. Weve found a very nice venue for the reception thats brand new for £180.. and a caterer's for £2.50 per head for a buffet.. Bargain!! we may consider a meal out with just very close family members.. they have offered to pay for there own. As for the dress.. well im gunna start looking :) ive started slimming world tho and have lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks yay :-) lots more to lose.
The house will be rewired by the end of June.. :) then the plastering starts lol

    Hope you are well xx

So i am back to my diary BIG STYLE!!! what a week.. all house almost packed in storage.. hotel starts this weekend and i get an answer machine message with the electritian pulling out due to an injury (yeah right!!) grrr has been the most stressfull week...anyhow we have found another.. and its cheaper..at £4100.00 but this also includes a whole alarm system.. and stair and hallway lighting LED on sensors this is aswell as ceiling spotlights.. so this should look really fancy :)
Bad news is the car goes in for an MOT tommorow GULP :S i pray it passes..
Bad news my maternity wage has already dropped by £1000.00 :( i had thought this was happening next month..grrr.. and we have a the holiday to wales still to come. So im kinda stressing, and the belts have to be tightend in big style.. already planning ahead. The hotel breakfast works out at 12.99 per day (over 2 weeks) a fortune! So we are going to take a mini fridge for milk and take weetabix. Also car insurance, ive just shopped around and can get it for £34 per month instead of £64..

Other big news is i started at a popular diet group and so far in the last 4 weeks ive lost 12 pounds :-) thrilled!!

I will be around alot more now ... back to the penny pinching x
