A Good Afternoon to Cats and Dragon :-) Thanks so much for your messages..nice to know im not alone :-)

So ive done the big big super size Asda shop... i think i have enough food for everyone til the end of next year lol.. I spent £103.63 on food.. and well i really cant see that i will need anything else for weeks!! I got lots of fresh salad, must make it up in a fridge box later ..must eat a little with each meal. Also Asda had the lovely big bags of fruit for a pound each.. I got about 7 loafs of bread for the chest freezer they were 30p each.. Ive stocked up on all my tins..(the cuboard is exploding) lots of rice, pasta etc.. if the snow comes i will be totally fine to take in a few people lol

I also spent £12.00 on christmas presents.. got some lovely asda truffle type crackers for a £1.00 , some body stuff for mum and a really nice pair of slippers for my grandad.. :-)

So thats £96.37 left for food for the month (the budget)
    +
    £122.42 Christmas shopping money left..

so thats me done :-) and no more naughty stops to the petrol station for milk and bread supply's!! Ive also stopped carrying my card on the school run-totally stops me from going on an after school shopping spree... and believe me they do happen!! Im terrible-its could be dunelms homefurnishing look around-with a coffee stop , for a pannini, latte.. (character biscuit & milkshake) for little man and atleast £12.00 poorer.. not good!

So I have an hour and half left ish before i go out to collect him..lets get a few things on ebay :)

    Over and Out xx

Thanks Cats.. i put ..........................wait for it............................drum roll......................................... 4 items on ebay today lol.. but im proud and its a start :-) ive got them on 10 day listings and i really chuffed a coat ive out on already has 2 watchers..yippe!! So the goal is a few items a day.

Had a very productive afternoon! i pay for british gas homecare cover currently £34.92 a month. I got an email from swinton today ( i have house insurance with them and car insurance- not from loyalty-they were the cheapest on confused.com. Anyhow will get to the point they offer cover with extra perks for only £6.99 a month (the gold membership) they cover windows, roofs and all sorts and its a total seperate policy to your insurance so does not affect that. They also gave me 3 months free.. so no DD until Feb 2012.. you can cancel before the money comes out. I did scenarios with them and its the same as british gas £1500 for labour and parts each call out. Even when they take the money you can cancel at any time.. its a monthly contract.

So British gas per 12 months = £419.04
    Swinton 12 months -the 3 months = 62.91

Thats a massive saving of £356.00 per year... there is only one flaw.. you need to have your boiler service each year (britisg gas include this).. but i have a fantastic gas safe heating plumber that charges around £60.00 so im still quids in :-)

So much food in the house that i dont fancy anything lol... seriously too much choice.. i must eat something tho, boiled egg and soilders lol..???

I had a plan of going to an indulgence evening on friday with a friend.. at the local school.. they were offering facials & beauty treatments along with stalls of xmas goodies and hand made soaps etc(ive gulped in fear all week, as that would be a real test) was quite relieved to get an email to say it may be cancelled due to the lack of tickets sold (could be a blessing)!!

Thanks Marty.. i have boxes full of clothes , sparkly shoes with heels i will never wear again lol.. at 31 its all about ugg boots and flat shoes (well it is for me anyway) haha.. i do have a few going out shoes... but i am in fear of them!! just not used to them anymore.. gone from clubbing 4 times a week to maybe 2-3 times a year.. sad eh..

Really is a good idea, there policy for boiler, plumbing and electrics without the (roof, keys etc) is just £4.99..
Im gunna test them out this winter to see if they are any good.. and get british gas to do a final boiler service before i leave (cheeky i know) but another saving..:T

Hope you get that boiler sorted soon, it will be such a relief..:j

Congrats on the ebay bid. I think you're mad for putting the tree up so early, but if the little man loves it then it's worth it.

You could speak to your friend, explain that it's almost christmas and you don't want any unnecessary spends and see if lunch would be fine?
