Hi everyone :-) hope you all had the most fantastic xmas :-)!! I really felt in the spirit this year.. but gosh ive been so tired, ive slept lots today.. feeling a little better. Had to get up at this silly hour to make sure i eat for the baby and to sort my sugar levels.

Few things to buy this week...

1. Divan Base (seen one in the M & S sale for £349.00) does this sound about right?

2. I need a new toaster.. but ive wanted a Dualit one for ages.. it literally costs a fortune but I reallllllly want one.. its a 6 slice one in a retro colour.. all replaceable parts. I found one in the sale for £179.90 plus two sandwhich cages for £23.80.. Feel sick with the price but ive wanted it for 12 months so isnt a impulse buy. Also me and OH didnt do xmas presents as we knew we wanted a few things for the house.

3. OH's phone is from the dark ages.. how its alive ive no idea... hes had nothing for years. He wanted a phone for christmas on O2 network.. PAYG or Contract.. i dont know where to start, whats a deal and whats the best to get him. Can someone point me in the right direction xx

Is this toaster? I have a Dualit, its fab. I bought from this company and got cashback too from Quidco. They are expensive but soooo worth it, as long as you don't pay for with a credit card!

Wow yes the exact place i was getting it from lol this is the one http://www.go-electrical.co.uk/dualit-6-slice-vario-60200-toaster-in-azure-blue.html and like you thru topcash back to get money back on it. They really are lovely and a real statement piece! I saw them set up in selfridges last summer and could only dream of getting one.. but after all the cut backs ive managed to save. What type of phone is your OH wanting? A smart phone or not?

Do you want PAYG or pay monthly?

Would you consider buying a phone off Ebay and then simply buying a new sim card? This can be a cheaper way of doing it.

What ever you do, remember to use Quidco for cashback.

I love the colour of your toaster! It will last you years.

Hiya :-)Hes just wanting something a bit upto date.. not an iphone tho. He wants to keep the same number and would be happy with PAYG.. but then if he has a smartphone it may be cheaper to put him on contract so he can use the apps and internet. Ive seen on carphone warehouse that they offer free xboxes or ipods with some of the contracts.. really not too sure on this if its worthwhile.

This divan base will be life changing.. ive been on the floor all year! and was so worried after the c-section that i wouldnt be able to get up.. very exciting stuff:D

So glad we saved, really makes a difference

Well done on the Divan, it sounds a good price. You deserve a bed after sleeping on the floor for months.

As regards to phone, make a comparison like for like with car phone warehouse and o2, you will find usually car phone warehouse comes out better especially with the free gift as you could sell a Brand New PS3 on ebay for possibly £100, and don't forget the cashback.

Thanks girlies lol i shouldnt be eating so much bread either hehe.. but with OH and son wanting two slices each and me..and bubba eventually i guess this will save time when getting the rounds out :-D must watch that OH dont fill the lot and eat in one go! eekkksss.... trouble with new stuff cus ive not had it before really im paranoid if someone touches it. I saved for a really lush fridge its a retro one... we lived with 20.00 ebay ones for years and freecycle. Anyhow im now having nightmares that my heavy handed mum will come and yank open the door and break the mini freezer inside lol... OCD will set in. Also childminder has put non dish washer stuff in before and ive felt sick lol.. my grandma bought me le cruset pots one year.. and i froze when i saw them in there. Lmao.. could be setting myself up for disaster.. will end up doing everything.

Any way im all blah blah blah today... im boiling up some potatoes before they go past there best, to have with some fish fingers and beans ..YUMMY

Can i ask if anyone uses paypal? I have something to buy, and they only except paypal, but if i have no credit in there can i still use? or will it go overdrawn or something? I bought my friend 2 bibs of etsy..so cute.. and paid by paypal, it went thru but im worried cus i didnt have money in there??
