Having wanting to spend issues today:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:.. my sister posted a pic of mums bedroom full of xmas presents.. from one side of the room to the next. I,m literally having bad dreams and feel so guilty for not spending more.. ive got her lots but still feel its not enough because she hasnt much money at all and has literally spent everything she has to get sack fulls of presents for everyone. My friend is leaving status updates saying shes off out shopping again tonight for xmas presents and i know she only buys for me , my son and her mum, dad and brother ... its making me feel like im gunna have a panic attack (not that ive ever had one).. sorry to be so dramatic.. but i just want to run to the shops and get a whole heap more ..... :-S
On a better note , im a terror with my makeup...i have loads of it around the house, MAC , Benefit all the exoensive stuff. It gets stuffed in boxes and draws never to appear again. Ive done a major clean the last few months and put it all in a few boxes.. terrible how much there is !! Usually i would have just gone out and bought more...
Makeup bag was looking a little sad like it needed a few new additions. So instead of going to get more i got stuff from the boxes :-) Feels great...:j:j:j:T:T:T:T:T0 -

I dont know what to say to make you feel better about the Xmas presents but remember its the thought that counts and Im sure they will all be very greatful for what you have got them (I bet its still alot you have got them :rotfl:)

Hiya lovely,
I totally get what you mean about having that manic urge to just buy more stuff at the last minute.
I have always been the same, rushing out at the last minute to get loads more. This is the first year I've actually managed to curb the urge. I bought DD a laptop for her birthday in October & although I saved up all year & used all cashback to help pay for it, I told her that christmas would be a much lower budget deal due to that.
She's fine with it, I'm the one that get the guilts & even today as I was getting my veg shopping I was scanning for 'extras'. I even went across the road to the gift shop to hunt more stuff down, luckily it didn't open for another half hour & I didn't want to hang around so came home.
I really do think that it's the act of giving that counts, rather than the value of what you've spent. No one should feel forced into spending more than they can afford, just to keep up appearances.
Let it go hon, let it go

Thanks so much girls the posts helped xx I did end up going out to Asda and another shop but spent under a tenner... phew lol..:0) so you saved me from going over the top.:j:j:money:
Im looking at everything now and really happy.. feel fab about them all.
Im off home this eve to spend the weekend with the family, 4 hour Journey so wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! :-):santa2::xmassmile:snow_laug
Silly phone had a glitch last night and the touch screen would not work.. but weirdly its ok now.. have written down all the numbers just in case.
Been cleaning for the first time before i go away, so glad ive done it. I usually come home to a tip.. this time its all nice and clean yay. We went to Asda last night and bought rolls, sausage rolls and cheese rolls, crisps and bottle water for the Journey and hotel. We usually spend a fortune at the services and vending machine at the hotel.. so quite proud that we have planned this time. We will however be having a full cooked breakfast at the hotel tommorow morning.. yummy! worth paying for.(all you can eat and kids breakfasts are free).. we got premeier in rooms for 19 pound a nght.. bargain!! £38.00 for the weekend :-)
I have my costa card with about £12.00 worth of points on so will be using that for creme brulee lattes in the services.. you simply cant skip them.. way too lush!!
Other Half, well what can i say, im so proud.. he worked loads of extra hours this month.. so that when he got paid last night and they deducted the £400.00 over payment from last month we still got a normal wage. Was so happy :-D paid the mortgage a week early today...:j:j:T:T
Thats about it for now.. all have a lovely time.. enjoy all the wondefull pressies and lush food:D:D

You're doing really well and being so positive CherryJack. I really think 2012 will be your year
I wouldn't worry about your friend and the present situation, it's only "stuff" afterall. Surely it's better to get one present that's had lots of thought than a last minute "arrrggghhh!" present? I managed to curb the last minute urge this year and my pile of presents is much smaller, but I feel better that more money went on paying off my debt as a result.
Hope you have a fantastic Christmas and a great new year. Put your feet up and relax, it'll soon be sleepless nights and pitter patter of feet time
