Can We Get Out of This Contract
I am wondering if anyone can help. My daughter took out a year's contract with 02 in December 2005 when she received a Pebl phone from them. Unfortunately, she had the phone stolen in the summer and then waited until November to receive an upgrade from them. We pay the bills for her as she is at Uni, however, the monthly payments are getting more and more expensive. Last month it was £38 and this month the bill is £45. Her texts are 12p a time. Is this excessive? I dont know how many free texts she receives if any but they came to over £15 this month. Does anyone know if we are trapped in this contract for another year or can we get out now? The reason I am asking this is because she received a new Pebl from them in November so does this tie us to them? I believe that you can buy a Pebl for about £150. The bills are costing us £500 a year, so I dont consider this very good value for money. The contract is in her name so I cant get any information from O2 and she never gets round to contacting them. Any advice would be appreciated apart from the obvious 'let your daughter pay for her own phone', as we already are considering this.
The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best
