Making a charity calender
Options
Hiya, i thought i would try all of you savvy people,
I'm looking to make a charity calender for the Poppy Appeal next year (i know this year has just finished but not sure how long i will need) and my Grandad is a District Poppy Appeal Organiser in one of our local areas so i can easily get war veterans to be included and i'm sure they would embrace the idea.
The only thing i was worried about/Don't know nothing about is getting a photographer and getting it printed. Has anybody organised something similar before? Where would i start?
TIA

Hi I was apart of a calender for a local hospital unit. We did it with the company that we work with and its in the Motor Trade. We managed to get a large sponsor and twelve small ones to cover the printing costs in exchange for advertising on each month.
It started out in June, we got the Companys photographer to do it in his own time all the models did it for free and it got launched and sold for £10 each and all that went to the Breast Unit. Its just a case of getting people to donate their time.
I hope this helps, good luck its a great idea for a great cause x0
