Ok so if I ring up for my PAC in the next few days, and then port it say 5 working days before my contract ends, that would give enough time for the number to port over and I wouldn't have to pay any extra, but I'd be losing out on the final 5 days of my contract? Correct?

sorry to hijack but didnt want to start another thread
i requested PAC from o2 9th feb and contract ends 8th march was told by online chat today if i port my number before 8th march i will cancellation charge so its got to be on 8th of march or after
will not be using that number so there will be no call charges this month just want to keep it (it was my son's he is on GG now)

thought i could port number anytime after requesting PAC as line rental paid in advance

The closer you port to the 10th of Mar, the smaller the charge. Don't leave it until too late as porting is not instant and PAC will expire on the 10th

The billing month is paid in advance. It can end at a different date.
