Looking for decent short contract broadband.

I am looking for a good, cheapish, no contract or short contract broadband.

My brother is moving into a house (a bit like a bed sit) for 6 months and is looking for broadband. He has a dongle at the moment which is good enough for browsing however his work requires him to have a fast (high limit or no limit) broadband. At the moment he cant work from home as he doesn't have this.

All the deals to be found online are either 12+months contract with a huge cancellation fee (usually its better or the same to just pay for the remaining months) or its limited pay as you with big costs for going over the limit or unlimited PAYG which is just too expensive.

The best I have been able to come up with while surfing the Net is the TalkTalk Unlimited deal. now this is a 12 month contract or maybe 18. However instead of cancelling this contract when you move you can do a home move and just renew (a new 12 months) the contract in the new house. I am looking at this from an overall cost point of view and this works out cheapest with its cheap line rental and half price deal for first few months.

If anyone can suggest anything better (I have heard bad things about talktalk) I would be very glad to hear it.

Zen Internet has a monthly contract. I've had brilliant service from them for the past four years.

Zen is probably the best, O2 do a 30 day contract and I think Plus Net do also
