I have quite a big overdraft but thanks to this site, it was £100 less than usual when I got paid yesterday so I'm well chuffed! It's just been all the little things like a bit of ebaying and living out of what's in teh cupbaord that've really helped me through this month..........I love this site!!

I get 1 weeks pay next wed from a job I left after new year, then another pay day next Fri for the four days I've worked this week, so that should get me back to just above £0 which means I'll be back on the straight and narrow - with a little careful planning!

I got paid on the 19th of December and then 26th Jan but as my wages just pay the bills and I don@t "see" any of the money it never bothers me. OH gets paid as and when as he is SE.0

We get paid by cheque at the moment and some people at work are complaining about January being "a long month" In our case, I simply don't understand what they are on about. We got paid on the 20th December so that the cheques were cleared for the 28th. Normally we get paid on the 25th so the cheques are cleared by the 28th. Therefore, in our case, we have been paid exactly as normal and have already had January pay day on the 25th. I don't see where this idea that there is a long time between December and January pay days comes in in respect of my colleagues. By the time our December pay can be drawn on, Christmas if over so its not like they have used it to spend on pressies. For them, it just seems to be this imaginary idea that we got paid "early" at Christmas so January pay day seems much further off. I could understand it if we were paid in cleared funds on the 20th and then had to way until the next 25th but that is not the case. If we were paid cleared funds, we wouldn't have been paid until the 28th anyway.

Six weeks since my last pay and last October lost £400 with Farepak and in November had to pay £350 excess to insurance following a bump in car. Have just about managed to keep my head above water. Not got an OD thank god. Get my CSA tomorrow, Child Benefit on Tues and Pay day on Wed. Whooppee. Well it would be whooppee if it wasn't for this bl++dy debt!0

Pay day is next Wednesday for me, can't wait. January always seems to drag out longer, well certainly for me anyway.0
