I oredered quite a few bits from amazon black friday but was away all weekend at my sisters. My tracking info on amazon says 'Possible delay in delivery due to extra carrier processing' and the courier is hermes. On their site it says courier not received. I have no cards in the door so what does this mean...please tell me it doesnt mean they are lost, I've heard that hermes aren't the best delivery service
I think it means that the couriers haven't picked the items up from Amazon yet.0 -
but before that it said out for delivery
This happened to me with the TV stand I had to order to go with the HD telly I got on Black Friday .. paid for stand at 3pm Friday .. should have been delivered Saturday (Amazon Prime Customer) and it said dispatched on Amazon account Friday evening. I awoke to an email on Saturday saying that for some reason it hadn't gone out! I phoned Amazon and had a bit of a moan as he said that it was in stock and he had no idea why it hadn't gone out. I pointed out that it had said it was dispatched on my account and that it should be delivered on Saturday as I am a prime customer and that is the service I paid for.
He arranged to get it out straight away and gave me a month extra free Amazon prime added on to my current membership as way of compensation as I was not happy - new TV arrived Saturday (bought on Friday) new stand, still in damn warehouse! so TV is still in box, as no stand to put it on, but Amazon assured me it is now on its way and will be here Monday.
So, looking at what happened to me, I would say your situation is possibly the same. It hasn't gone out. I suppose they have been mad busy and mistakes happen, I just wasn't very happy when the mistake happened to me, as I suspect you won't be either.
Hope you get your item soon!0 -

I don't think Hermes are any better or worse than any other delivery company, there are bad couriers in all companies and also horrendous customers.
The difference in my opinion are many companies support their couriers, Hermes don't, it has to lead to less goodwill by the courier and therefore less patience towards the hard to deliver to customer.Gigervamp

Couriers don't pick up from Amazon, it's delivered to couriers at local depots.0 -
