Just above that there is a small tick box that is empty (next to the price). Make sure that there is a tick in there.

Very scared checking this for you as I had to go through to the cancel page for something I didn't want to cancel to remind myself how it works - luckily it was okay & didn't click the final Cancel Selected Items button;)

She can't cancel though. Once items are being prepared for despatch, the option to cancel as you have described disappears.

I wanted to cancel/change something from yesterday too, nothing to do with black Friday, but can't, even though it probably won't actually be despatched for a couple of days.:(

Wouldn't mind a digital camera but I'm not going to be able to afford that, I think I'm expecting too much for too little.

I think it odd they only have one thing as well. Suppose they did start at 7 this morning though.
