Hi,
I just sold a brand new PS3 (unwanted gift) to a buyer with 0 feedback. The buyer then sent this message which I found a bit strange:
"hi just paid by paypal. when can i expect it to arrive? dont forget to send it recorded for our security. this is my first ebay purchase and i dont want to lose it. please do not include any invoice as it is a xmas present "
Surely you would just remove the invoice yourself. The buyer paid via paypal and does have a confirmed address. In my listing it was also stated that I do not accept returns. Is it safe to go ahead with the transaction?
Thanks in advance for replies.

I would say its safe but send it using Special Delivery for your own security.0

Will any trackable service that requires signature do?0
-
I'm sure the more experienced ebays on here will assist better than myself but as long as you can prove proof of delivery (i.e a tracking number & signature) you have done everything you can in the eyes of PayPal should the buyer try and get his money back and scam you.0

Don't use recorded - even if it is delivered it might not track properly, then you're limited to £46 compensation, in the form of stamps. RM often don't get, or provide a signature on the online tracking, which is all Paypal will look at - so you'd lose an INR case. Use special delivery, or a courier0
-
Yes you can send it with a courier with an online signature, to the address paypal say it's ok to send to.0

Personally a PS3, I would send it Special Delivery or via a courier. Its a newbie buyer, they are probably just wary themselves thus the email.0

A few things that send warning bells to me would be the newly registered buyer emailing you so quickly after the end of the auction and the reminder to send recorded (IF you send, do it by special at the very least to make sure you are protected with RM, this wont help if its a hacked PP account though)
Maybe I'm just a little sceptical after spending too long reading the horror stories on this forum but I'd be wary
oh, and the "not accepting returns" waste of time typing as paypal and ebay will over rule you every timeWins 2015:-

You would still be fully protected against a hacked account, in fact for a bank reversal due to fraudulent payment you would even be covered merely with proof of posting.
