Hopefully some time near Christmas?0

It was December 1st last year. Google for "Sky Movies Christmas Channel 2011".0

This is for customers who switch their broadband and telephone lines to them, if you already have this service with Sky you are not entitled to the two months free trial. Second point is that you have to give them 31 days notice if you want to cancel. So you'll need to signed and then cancel almost straightaway not to be tied in!

Having had sky movies for 3 months (2 free) I have to say i was left dissapointed, Its the same films over and over again day after day and if thats not bad they move the films around the channels and do the same.0

I have to say that I'm inclined to agree.
It used to be much better before they switched to this Genre/Category channel format. When I first got Sky, you had Sky Premier 1-5, Sky MovieMax 1-5 and Sky Cinema 1-2 and then they changed that to Sky Movies 1-10 and kept the 2 Sky Cinema channels. It meant that although films were still repeated it seemed to be a lot easier to find something to watch, from the little gem you'd never heard of, to the old classic to some brain-disengaged action romp etc.
But then they switched to the format they have now and the quality has declined significantly, presumably because now when they're buying up rights to films, they have to do so in a restrictive way to ensure that they can fill up timeslots on specific channels, rather than simply bung the film on whichever timeslot is free on one of the ten movie channels.
It might make it somewhat easier for some people that you can check the Horror/Sci-Fi channel if you're in that sort of mood but overall I feel it actually gives you less choice. As a film fan, I used to watch about 10-15 films a month on Sky Movies but now I struggle to find 5 or 6 that I'm interested in... it is just about warranting the subscription fee as I don't go to the cinema too often but it isn't as good as it used to be.
MGM HD isn't too bad though - a lot of repeats but the fact they show stuff like Rolling Thunder is a bonus.0 -
If it puts a merry little smile on my childrens faces and gets them in the festive mood i don't care if they are all repeats, spoke to sky, and anyone with the movies package will get sky xmas from the 1st of dec, happy days!!! Just have to tell them they got a while to wait lol!!!! x thanks anyway xThe feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!
