you can also stick a vented dryer anywhere, just needs to be near a window, mines been my bedroom tv stand for years (with a throw over the top) and then the vent goes out the window when in use.

Hi all, just gatecrashing this thread as I've been looking at alternatives to tumble dryers (baby due in 3 weeks, only radiators, no space for a tumble dryer) and checked out the dryers on Lakeland... Has anyone tried those 'drying pods'? Looks like it might be idea for baby clothes, but they get mixed reviews.... Hmmm.

How do the drying lines/heated airers get rid of the water? If it just warms the clothes then you are simply putting more water vapour in to the air and increasing the risk of condensation/damp.

On the odd occasions when I can't line dry, I put on an airer and point the dehumidifier at it.

Clothes all dried quickly and water poured down sink. :j
