Hi,
I hope someone can help me.
I am receiving unwanted/nuisance calls from someone.
I have a blackberry pearl phone and am on a contract, is there a way I can barr their number?

Do I have to go to my service provider and get them to sort it out? Change number?
Will this cost me?

If your mobile number has some call barring features then you can block the number on the phone - usually in phone settings/call settings.
If it does not you can try to use some app like this one http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/2146

Go here on Blackberry App World and download iBlocker lite.

It allows you to block unknown or withheld numbers and you can also have a "black" and "white" list of phone numbers.

For nuicsence/ malicius calls you need to go to the police, they will give you a crime ref no that you can take to your provide to get a number change. The police can trace the calls and contact the caller, and that itself may be enough.

Short term put them in your phone book and assign them a ringtone of silent, that way you still get the call but the phone won't ring and bother you.

    Thanks for replys,
I will try the iblocker lite.

gjchester the calls do not warrant police intervention.
If the phone rejects call, hopefully caller will truly get message :o)
